Modern Christianity often teaches that salvation is permanently settled during a single moment of belief—regardless of whether repentance, obedience, holiness, perseverance, or spiritual fruit ever follow.
But is that what Jesus taught?
Christ said His disciples would be known by their fruit. He warned that branches failing to remain in Him would be removed and burned. James asked whether a faith without works could save anyone and concluded that faith without works is dead.
