Have you ever felt like God was taking you the long way? You prayed for direction, but the road seemed longer than expected. You believed God was bringing you out, but the path forward felt confusing. You thought deliverance would mean immediate arrival, but instead, God led you into a season of waiting, stretching, and learning how to trust Him step by step.
That is exactly where Israel finds themselves in this passage. God has brought them out of Egypt, but He does not take them by the shortest route. He leads them the long way through the wilderness. And at first glance, it may look like a detour, but in God’s hands, the detour becomes development.
