Referencing Matthew 11:28–29 (CEB) and Proverbs 15:32 (GNT), Pastor reminded us that learning is not just academic - it is the foundation of wealth, health, and spirituality. As John Rohn rightly said, “Learning is the beginning of everything.” But it doesn’t end there. True transformation also involves unlearning what no longer serves us, and re-learning to align with God’s evolving truths for our season.

Quoting Alvin Toffler, Pastor Femi emphasised that the real illiterate today is not the one who cannot read or write, but the one who refuses to learn, unlearn, and re-learn. Many people get stuck because they “know too much,” live in self-delusion, or are closed off to new ideas. These mindsets limit growth and rob us of the opportunity to walk in wisdom.

He challenged us to examine our hearts: Are we opinionated? Resistant to change? Afraid to face the real person in the mirror? If so, we may be holding ourselves back from the rest and renewal Christ offers when we humbly learn from Him.

At today’s Testimony & Thanksgiving service, Pastor Femi Paul brought us a thought-provoking word entitled “Lessons from the Prodigal: Leverage.”

Drawing from Luke 15:28–31 (MSG) Pastor Femi taught that hard work alone doesn’t guarantee success - leverage does. Leverage is about using your relationships, knowledge, and position to influence outcomes wisely and profitably.

Drawing from Ecclesiastes 12:12-14, he emphasised that true success is rooted in fearing God and obeying His commands, as everything we do will ultimately be judged by Him. He further highlighted Ecclesiastes 3:14, reminding us that whatever God establishes is permanent - nothing can be added or taken away.

At today's Warfare Wednesday, Pastor Femi Paul led the church in a powerful session of prayer themed "Pressing Forward by Force, by Fire!"

Drawing from Philippians 3:13-15, he emphasised the need to forget the past, focus on the goal, and press forward with determination to receive all that God has prepared for us.
