Life is a combination of pleasure and pressure; there are good and bad times. The challenges of life are not necessarily products of our decisions. However, it is God's desire that we will be triumphant through it all.

If God is all you need to make it through life, then Faith is an essential commodity you cannot do without! Faith should not be static, but progressive. The Bible talks about small Faith like a mustard seed, and also talks about building up your faith, that is, growing your faith.

"And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Mark 10:47-48

The "cry" we see in the above scripture was not a cry of self-pity, but a cry of faith. Your tears might not move God, but your cry of faith will!

If victory is what you desire in life, then you must know that the faith of yesterday will not handle the battles of today. You must grow your faith!

Persistent Faith helps us;

- To face life with fearless confidence.

- Take responsibility for the outcome of life.

- To Increase capacity to face today's issues.

The problem of blindness that Bartimeus had was fixed, the only variable in his story was his faith.

Persistent Faith is the "Never Give Up" kind of faith.

No matter what your critics say, if you don't give up within, you can't give up without.

Persistent Faith is the ruthless commitment to what God says.

Seek to be richer in Faith. The more currency of faith you have, the more victories you can command.

You can increase your faith level by:

- Having deliberate, conscious hunger for the word of God ROM 10:17

- Praying in the Spirit Jude 1:20

- Increasing your revelation of what God is capable of.

- Going before the throne of grace frequently.

If you throw faith out of the window, you throw fulfillment of God's promises out of window.

The heroes of faith did incredible things by Faith, so can you!

Stop daydreaming and talking about the good old days; they are not coming back!

However, there's grace for every season. These present days are good, if you'll tap into the resources of God for this season by persistent faith.

LK 18:7-8 (MSG)

"So what makes you think God won't step in and work justice for His chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won't He stick up for them? I assure you, He will. He will not drag His feet. But how much of that kind of PERSISTENT FAITH will the Son of Man find on the earth when He returns?"

We all need to move into the season called "Now". There's grace for "Now"! A lot of us are struggling because we are still living in "Then" and using its resources for "Now".

The same way the world's currencies (Naira, Dollar etc) are updated from time to time; our Faith, which is the currency of God ought to be updated. Many people are discouraged because they are using yesterday's faith for Now. God is calling us to Persistent Faith. The days are not likely to get easier, but with persistent faith comes greater grace and new strength!

Many of us have quit because we are tired. Persistent faith may get tired, but it shakes it off and takes another step forward. Tiredness is not a reason to give up; it is a reason to know that there are resources to download from the Lord!

A good example of persistent faith is found in MK 10:46-52

Blind Bartimaeus didn't let the voices of his critics get to him. The more they tried to silence him, the more he cried out to Jesus!

The things that attempts to silence our faith are; Voices that reminds us that we have failed before in a particular area, Fear, Voices that reminds us of how long we have been trying! Without our agreement, they can't win.

Don't let anything shut down your faith. You've got to keep speaking what you believe. Don't let any negative voice settle before you counter and bring them to the obedience of Christ.

Say what you want God to do for you again and again! Your faith has a voice and God knows the frequency of that voice!!

The people that criticized Bartimaeus were the ones Jesus asked to fetch him. Those that treated him like he was just an annoying fellow changed their minds and called him "lucky one"!

This is why you can't give up. People can say what they want, but you must hold on to your confession of faith.

On the day of breakthrough; people that complain and whine about their problems end up reciting them, instead of asking for solutions.

Instead of rehashing your problems, always speak with the voice of faith. Magnify God, not your problems! AND THOSE PERSISTENT IN FAITH WILL WIN!

Many times, we are faced with situations where it's as if the people around are waiting for us to have a downfall or experience failure. We get overwhelmed and most times, lose hope. However, let this Word encourage you that the expectations of people won't come to pass.

Rather, you will be blessed. In all these though, you have a part to play. Find out how in this timely message of encouragement.
