What has Jesus been saying to you? And what are we doing? Listening to Jesus is hearing and doing, it's practicing. "Practicing is about us finding out what happens when we put the teachings of Jesus into play in the real world." We listen to Jesus by listening to His Word and practicing.

How has Jesus been messing with you lately? No, really, do you ever feel like Jesus is messing with your life in a good way? Is Jesus leading you into some new opportunities or making you uncomfortable? Jesus does that with us because He has a mission of salvation for all people and Good News! God wants to use you, the time is now, and the message is: repent and believe. Are you ready to join Jesus on His mission?

We go to the tomb and stick our heads in to take a look around but Jesus isn’t there. Jesus is ALIVE! A couple angels are there to tell the ladies and rolls the stone away so they can see Jesus isn’t here. They remember and tell everyone who will listen that Jesus is ALIVE!

Jesus gave his life for us. Tonight we gather to confess our faith in Jesus and thank Him for taking our sins and dying in our place so we may be forgiven. We remember His sacrifice for us, we nail our sins to the cross and praise our crucified Savior.

We are happy to welcome Pastor Paul Larson who serves as the president of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren. He will be bringing our Palm Sunday message. The whole road to Jerusalem was filled with people shouting praise to God and crying out for a king and right there is the middle is Jesus, riding a donkey. People are asking, "Who is this guy?" and people are still asking the same thing.

Repentance means a turn from sin toward the Righteous One who takes away our sin. And God is patiently waiting, calling, and looking for us. God wants us all to reach repentance, so he waits for us to turn!

Jesus gives us a view of 2 people talk to God. One person is trying to justify himself and tell God how good he is. The other person stands in the back crying out to God in repentance, “God be merciful to me, a sinner.” That’s the prayer of repentance we pray today.

Do you ever feel lost? We loose stuff, we had our keys or our sanity here somewhere, but now I can’t find it. We get lost, and that’s good news for us because Jesus receives lost people like us. We hear John crying out to a bunch of people in the wild and life gets pretty rough out there. People just like us, life doesn’t go as planned for us either. We hear God speaking through John saying “turn around and receive forgiveness of sins” God is promising forgiveness to the baptized believers and that gives birth to repentance. Repentance is when we turn to God, it’s that point in life when we know we have messed up and we have no idea what to do next. When we hear God, when we know we can’t fix ourselves, that’s when we turn to God and say, “Now what do I do?” and we hear God calling us to Himself.
