Romans 1:1-25 - What are you ashamed of? Perhaps you have felt ashamed of the gospel. Understand why the world around causes you to and then remember that the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.

Romans 1:16 is key verse to the theme of this epistle. God saves, and does so with his gospel. All of grace through faith alone. Christ finished the work.

Philippians 1:12-18 - Some things are hard to understand, but Paul wants you to understand and we can. The word of God is perceivable, but It can take hard work. What happened to Paul is not how modern prosperity gospel teachers set it out and, to be honest, is not how I would choose to do the work, but, Isa 55:9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
