THE WORD

The Preeminence of Christ is an often overlooked subject in the lives of many believers today. It flows counter to the quest to be number 1 in our competitive world. However, to recognize Christ and to honor Him for Who He really is can never be substituted with any human effort to succeed.

Some time after the birth of Christ, wise men from the East came to visit. They presented Him with three significant gifts that pointed to Who He was and what He would do for us.

These costly gifts also probably provided for the needs of His family in their moving to - and living in - Egypt.

From the Glory of God to the gory need of man, the birth of Christ bridged the gap between the two, resulting in our being able to receive the benefit of His sinless life and redeeming sacrifice on the cross.

From the creation of man, God has proclaimed blessings over His people; and as His blessed people we are called to do the same. Listen to this amazing and humorous story of faith and the eventual conversion of Dennis O'Neill, an actor, singer and dancer who came to Christ through his wife's persistant love and boldness. Using his personal story, this man of God declares the importance of having faith in God and vision from him.

Now preaching and performing everywhere the Lord leads, Dennis is a bright light for all to see the love of God.

Of the great Biblical mandates for the believer - faith, hope and love - the greatest is love; i. e. sacrificial, unconditional, unselfish agape love. In this sermon you will hear some of the qualities of each and how they work together as well as why love is the superior of the three.
