THE WORD

In this sermon, some ramifications for believing an unscriptural statement, which actually comes from the Quran, are explored. Then the real truth is declared and illustrated by a personal testimony from Carl Kaspick.

While it is true that everything in life - good, bad and not so good - has reasons behind them, it is not true that God is always the cause. However, for those of us who love Him and are called to His purposes, the Lord will make everything work together for the good of making us more like Christ.

While this may seem to be a brush off at best, it simply is not true in this world of people who love to judge others. However, ultimately in light of the eternal future, it is true for us all. Therefore we would be wise to consider the state of our souls in light of Judgment Day.

In His dealings with humanity, God's righteous wrath is often the reason why He allows us to go our own way, in order to bring us to an end of ourselves; so that we might see our need for repentance through the power of the gospel. This is brought about by His merciful kindness extended toward us, even while many of us are intentionally living lives of sinful rebellion against His purpose and will for our lives. Such a marvelous truth is to be revered and respected; because one day, His wrath will shift and bring judgment upon all who reject Him.

In this sermon, more than ten ways are communicated on how we are NOT to do this.

While we all make multiple personal decisions everyday, sometimes the Lord calls us to do some things that might seem totally illogical to others. At this point, it is very important make a quality decision in determining who we are going to listen to.

(This of course, does not exclude testing what we think God is saying to us by searching the Scriptures and pursuing Godly counsel).
