The Word Transfer

So often the sincere question is asked, "What message can I give my friend to help them come to know the Lord?" This is one you can refer people to often. It's right here. J. C. Ryle used to say, "We may boldly tell the chief of sinners that Christ loves him. Salvation is ready for the worst of men, if they will only come to Christ. If men are lost, it is not because Jesus does not love them and is not ready to save" John Blanchard put it so well when he said, "Becoming a Christian is not making a new start in life; it is receiving a new life to start with." Those words line up perfectly with the text before us in this message. John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Staring at those verses we see how,"The new birth is infinite in its beginning because its beginning lies in infinity" Join us as we continue on this journey together through the Gospel of John. We encourage you to invite a friend, or a home group of friends, to listen with you. May God bless you abundantly as you listen. It has been said,"Jesus Christ is God in the form of man; as completely God as if he were not man; as completely man as if he were not God." Think about this...He who made man was made man. We have before us the deity of Jesus Christ and oh how sweet this is to contemplate. The benefits to us are eternal. God in Christ has done everything necessary to bridge the gap between man & God. Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s words here are rich indeed. "If Jesus Christ is not true God, how could he help us? If he is not true man, how could he help us?" Thank the Lord, He is and He is! -The first thing you do is read the Gospel of John.- How many times have you said that to a new Christian-- We all say it and anyone who listens gets blessed-----But other than perhaps doing that when you were first born-again, have you ever taken the time to study it in-depth------How easy it is to routinely refer people to it. But never have more than a cursory understanding of it ourselves.----Yet, how wonderful it is to take time out of your busy life - plumb the depths of the knowledge of God revealed in this Gospel.----The the other gospels overlap - repeat. Writing so much later, John stands alone in a divine uniqueness. This book simply gets more dazzling the longer you look at it. This is John's design, that you might see more and more of Jesus as God, the deeper you go.----You don't want to miss what is waiting for you in the introduction.----Join us as we take this journey together through the Gospel of John.
