A computer can teach itself chess but can it be a creative, sentient being? Do we want it to be? Are computers going to feel angst, joy and sorrow? Will they feel those emotions artificially? Will they become angry at us?  Matty K and John muster as much intelligence as possible to discuss this big issue

It is pretty widely accepted that even a few minutes of quiet meditation helps reduce stress and improves health.  The big rage is to squeeze out every last bit of productivity from the modern worker...so every company needs a $4,000 meditation booth!!! This contraption is basically a standard phone booth pre-smartphone era - and Matty K and John are designing a workplace Panic Room so you can screw and cry in privacy about your soul-sucking JOB!

Everybody has things they hate about their job. And, if we pay attention, we have things to like about our jobs as well. Life isn't all lollipops and creamsicles but appreciating what we have helps us to be happy.

In 2007 there was a real fear among the college educated that, like the factory jobs, their jobs would be shipped overseas to places like India. Some did get outsourced abroad but many went to cheaper parts of the US like South Dakota and Florida. Is it better to just lose your job or have to move? John and Matty K discuss.

Amanda Yates Garcia is a practicing witch and one of the most engaging people Matty K has ever had the pleasure of speak with. Misconceptions about her profession abound and she does a wonderful job explaining the connection with nature and oneself.  Her book, Initiated: Memoirs of a Witch, comes out on October 22nd and I know it will be a fascinating read.
