While the world is reeling under the effects of the  deadly coronavirus, Congolese Health Minister Eteni Longondo officially  announced the end of the Ebola epidemic in eastern Democratic Republic  of Congo, the second most serious disease since the discovery of the  virus in 1976.

Coronavirus not only had an impact on human lives but sent the economy in shambles. Global economy is currently really reeling under the repercussions of coronavirus and will take a drop of at least 12 trillion US dollars. IMF has said it now expects 2020 global output to shrink by 4.9%, compared with a 3.0% contraction predicted in April this year with the available data at that time. Moreover, it would take two years for world output to return to levels at the end of 2019, the body said.
