he World in Shambles
Democracy in Shambles
Alas! The World in Shambles
Then, what is Democracy
No more than a Sham,
Everything’s about Power and Pelf
Nothing matters beyond the Self,
To hell with the world
And, all else,
Just ‘me” matters
The insignificant Me,
Hope we begin to the “End”
See,
‘Tis not a matter of Vision Impaired,
In a world where no one cares
Nor ever cared
About, the one next door
Or, on the next floor,
Whom you know nothing about
For, it’s only
Silence or Resounding Shout.
Where are We, Folks
What are We,
All that we hear is
Just Homily!
It’s Never Too Late
Is an adage old,
It carries value
Or, so I am told,
So, let’s sit back and quietly ponder
For,
Who knows what else
Lies beyond the wide, blue, yonder!
Let’s use our brains
Not Artificial Intelligence
For, what we have, will
Only Rust
Leaving us with
Just the Skull and
The shattered Crust.
Think, Folks! Think.
