Application Point: We follow the Great Commission by loving Jesus and loving our actual neighbors right where we are, through walking, eating and praying.

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Big Idea of the Message: Jesus stirs in his followers a compassionate love for others and calls them to share his truth with the world.

Application Point: Evangelism is important. All of our work toward bettering the here and now needs to also include the hope of Jesus for a forever gospel of life eternal. That is the great commission.

Here is the truth, 

No one likes being lost. The anxiety, fear and uncertainty of it can be debilitating at times. Yet, being lost means there is plenty of opportunity for us to be found. In Luke 15 Jesus uses three parables to explain just how much effort God puts into finding lost people. So, at this moment if you feel lost, just know God is looking for you. He is pursuing you and wants nothing more than for you to know him!
