What happens when God begins to clean house?

Sometimes, what looks like loss, confusion, isolation, pruning, or even destruction may actually be God removing what no longer belongs and making room for what He intends to build.

But the cleaner sees what the person inside the house cannot see.

God knows what needs to go. He also knows what needs to remain.

And just as Isaiah speaks of a holy seed remaining in the stump after the trees have been cut down, there is something God preserves even through the cutting. The goal is not simply to leave the house empty. It is to make room for holiness, fruitfulness, and the expression of Christ in us.

This episode is a reminder that familiarity is not the same as alignment, pruning does not always mean something was bad, and God's removal is not necessarily rejection.

Sometimes, God is cleaning house because He knows what the house was always meant to become.
