As we mark the 50th anniversary of WQA, we are featuring some of our more popular and important podcasts over the years. This one is from 2021 and the grand opening of WQA’s new International Headquarters and Laboratory in Lisle, Illinois, outside Chicago.

We feature so remarks from two former WQA Executive Directors -- Doug Oberhamer and Pete Censky. If you’re new to the industry, this will give you an excellent background for how we got to where we are today.

We begin with Doug, as he talked about the reasons behind establishing a permanent headquarters more than 40 years ago. And then, we’ll hear from Pete, as he reflected on the continued growth and credibility of the water treatment industry in the many years since that time.

As we mark the 50th anniversary of WQA, we are featuring some of our more popular podcasts over the years. This one was from 2023, and a fantastic conversation with Gary Beutler, also known as "Gary the Water Guy." He owns the Water Store in Midland, Ontario, Canada.

Gary has his own YouTube Channel and he produces videos on a weekly basis to teach, inform and help consumers understand water quality and water treatment solutions.

Emerging contaminants are a critical focus of the Water Quality Association and the Water Quality Research Foundation. In this episode we feature a segment from a recent WQRF webinar about emerging contaminants, chemicals or materials that may harm human health and could find their way into drinking water. As we mark WQA’s 50th anniversary, we feature one of our memorable podcasts from the past several years. We go back to July of 2020 and our conversation with Dr. Jill Williamson of NASA as we had an interesting conversation about water filtration on the International Space Station high above the Earth. Dr. Williamson explains how all of the water is captured and filtered and re-used by the astronauts aboard the international space station.
