The Wrestling Archives

On this very special episode, we sit down with Mr. Xcellence himself, Brandon Scott. We talk all things wrestling from storytelling and influences to how to deal with the flippy-style guys. He talks what it was like to work with WWE and how does one get called to work as enhancement talent. He shares stories about Arn Anderson, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, Carlito, Bo Dallas, Curt Hawkins, and more!

There was some technical difficulties, so we apologize about some of the sections that are of lower quality, but he's such a great guy and we had such a great time, we just had to share anyway! Thanks for listening!

Time marches on! Tim and Rich sit down to watch WrestleMania 27, which came from Atlanta, Ga in 2011. John Cena, The Miz, Undertaker, HHH, CM Punk, Heath Slater, Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, and other favorites come together to put on a spectacularly mediocre show. It's the driest of the dry. But, hey! PeeWee Herman is there, so it can't be all that bad, right? right? RIGHT???

Since Rich took the fam on vacay and Tim has been crazy busy with work stuff, we didn't get to sit down and watch an old show for you, so we thought we'd talk some wrestling news, like the new WWE Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Draft and give a rundown on our thoughts of what to expect at Backlash. Some people just like to watch the world burn. This week, we continue our Hulk Hogan retrospective and warp back to July 7, 1996. Rich's 16th birthday. A lackluster card of a pay-per-view from WCW turns into one of the most dramatic and unthinkable moments of professional wrestling history. A meteoric shift happens and we're not talking about Disco Inferno having a competitive match with Dean Malenko. Two familiar faces from WWF have shown up and have been causing chaos for the weeks prior and they have promised to shake things up. They call it a hostile takeover but it's bigger than that. Thanks for listening!

On this very special episode of All The WrestleManias, we sit down with the one and only Virginia Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, Boar! The dude is a walking encyclopedia and shares his story with us. We could have talked with this guy all night. He may be Rich's new best friend. Sorry Tim. Thanks for listening! Check out their show in Norfolk, VA on April 22!Support the Show: https://www.ko-fi.com/allthewrestlemanias

We are amped up for this weekend's WrestleMania 39 from Hollywood, CA! We talk this year's hall of Fame class, then dive into the action! Brock Lesner vs. Omos, Seth Freakin' Rollins vs. Logan Paul. Bianca Belair vs Asuka, Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley. Is this the end of the Bloodline's dominance of the men's wrestling world? Can Sami and Kevin top the Usos? Will Cody Rhodes finally achieve what his father couldn't and take down the Tribal Chief? What will a match between Cody and Roman Reigns even look like?? Download now and hear our thoughts! We finally, after a year, finish the Steamboat vs. Flair trilogy, and we think we saved the best one for last! There's other matches on this show but, really, that's the one that counts. It's exciting, it's relentless, it's exhausting. It's a stunning masterclass of professional wrestling. This show aired the same night as Hulk Hogan vs. Macho Man at WrestleMania V. Which would you have watched? Which match was more important? Plus, Junkyard Dog with a second line, Great Muta whoops a jobber and...three missing matches?? What's going on here!? We continue our exploration of the rise of the phenomenon of Hulkamania. We flash back to St. Paul, Minnesota on April 24, 1983 to the AWA Super Sunday and Hulk Hogan challenging Nick Bockwinkel for the AWA World Championship and how this pivotal match sets in motion the meteoric rise of the Hulkster and the WWF. While Hogan vs. Bockwinkel may be the main attraction, we can't ignore other notable future WWF talent including Wendi Richter, Rick Martel, Jesse Ventura, Brutus Beefcake, and Jerry "The King" Lawler. We finally lured Andy and Geoff from the Turtle Wars podcast into our studio. All it took was Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, using the name Luscious, and some bean dip! We explore little person wrestling, the tragedy of Adrian Adonis, Ricky Steamboat and Macho Man putting on a show for the ages, and how the WWF has lied to the audience forever, and the absolute poetry of Gorilla Monsoon. Also, is wrestling really fake? Does it matter? Thanks for listening!Support the show at https://ko-fi.com/allthewrestlemanias

We climb into our time machine (Peacock streaming service) and go back to Madison Square Garden on the evening of January 23, 1984. The atmosphere is electric for The Masked Superstar vs Chief Jay Strongbow...or maybe for Ivan Putski vs Sgt. Slaughter, or maybe it's this match of a young guy named Hulk Hogan taking on the evil champion, The Iron Sheik. Undoubtedly this evening moved the needle and changed professional wrestling and pop culture forever and we are here for it!
