The Wrexham Texan

Jake reviews and analyzes S2E14 of Welcome to Wrexham titled ”Worst Case Scenario.”

After a disappointment at Accrington, the Wrexham squad bounces back in a defining way against playoff contender Morecambe.

Everyone calm down. We’re not even halfway through the season and people are treating our Accrington loss like it’s time to rebuild the squad. Jake talks about this and our upcoming match in today’s episode.

A special guest joins the podcast to chat about Notts County, the rest of the season, and the wonderful things that the Wrexham community is all about. Jake also analyzes the Gillingham game and gives his prediction for Accrington next week!

Yesterday marked the opening match of my favorite style of sport... the tournament. Wrexham looked in control for most of the game and were able to pull off the victory versus fellow League Two competitor Mansfield.

Also this past week was the release of ”Hand of Foz” in which the documentary series did a phenomenal job building up the biggest and most exciting game in National League Football history.

What. A. Rivalry. And what a game! Wrexham comes through with two goals in four minutes in the second half to take down #2 Notts County. And today we have one of their ardent supporters on the podcast, Luke Middup, to have a fantastic chat about the rivalry, the game, the documentary, and the future.

It wasn’t a pretty one but we got the job done! The feet of Mullin and Lee led us to victory in this hard fought and somewhat disappointing defeat of the worst team in the league, Sutton United. And then a review of the episode titled ”Glove Triangle” and boy has Jake got some things to say about some lunacy in this episode.

What a game at Bradford City!! Not the result we wanted but a heck of a match. Jake analyzes and comments on the game, gives his prediction for Sutton, and analyzes the episode ”The Grind” of Welcome to Wrexham.

It’s been more than a week since the last episode, so Jake’s got a lot to catch up on! Crawley, Crewe, and Salford... three games, three wins, and we’ve got a lot of opinions. Plus Jake chats about the episode ”Giant Killers.”

In yet another storyline added to Season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham, the women’s teams is showcased in their quest for promotion to the paid level of the pyramid!
