There's something strange going on with the grain supply in 2026 that we need to talk about...
And this got me curious about the origins of grain and how we can celebrate Lammas in a more meaningful way.
Let's talk about where the world is at with wheat, corn and rice these days, and then muse about how we can learn from our ancestors to live more resilient and grateful lives...

Summer is often a time when plans, schedules and routines go out the window. And let's be real... Often, the first things to go are some of our spiritual practices and self care rituals. But Summer is here to remind us that being present in the moment with Nature, community and ourselves is one of the most important goals we can have.

Not going to lie... sometimes, when life gets busy or stressful, intention setting every season and/or new moon can feel a bit tiresome... But what's wonderful about our regular habit of intenton-setting throughout the seasons is that we get to decide what "intention setting" means to us from one season to the next.

One of the most empowering aspects of cyclical living in tune with the seasons is how many different opportunities we have to make "new year's resolutions." In mainstream society, we're expected to have it all figured out by January 1st - And if we miss that deadline to get our lives together, we've somehow "failed." But that's so unnatural and unrealistic! The Spring Equinox (also known as the Astrological New year) can be a much more natural (and POWERFUL) time to truly step into the next chapter of our lives.
The days are longer, Nature is waking up and the astrological energy is so much more supportive of actually taking bigger steps toward our goals and desires... Not to mention that we've already had the first quarter of the solar year to feel into any resolutions we may have made back at the Winter Solstice - So we're so much more clear on our intentions and grounded in the inspired action we're most aligned with taking.
In honor of the Astrological New Year, I invite you to join me for this video where I'm sharing my astro-new-year prompt that's normally exclusive to paid members - Along with a reading of my own response to the prompt and a ramble about what it's really like to set intentions on a cyclical basis.

Sometimes, our seasonal and astrological journal prompts perfectly mirror what we're going through that week, and we can answer them effortlessly... Other times, it may seem like we're at odds with the energy of the week, and need a bit of a re-frame. I do my best to word every prompt so that you can get the most out of it - regardless of where you're at. In this episode, I'm reading a whole prompt to you along with my entire response from my own journal last week - So you can get an idea of how well this can help us get clear on what Life is asking of us at any given time.
