While there still hasn’t been a story that’s topped Demi vs. Froyo, pop culture really pulled through this week and gave us some amazing content to unpack.

First up: Olivia Rodrigo has done it again (do you get deja vu reading that? Ha ha no but for real, we’ve definitely said that before). “Good 4 U” served all the nostalgic punk rock Paramore vibes we didn’t know we were craving and we’re beyond ready for her album to drop this week (16:06-26:39).

Next: to nobody’s surprise, it was announced last week that season 19 of The Ellen DeGeneres Show will be the last. Ellen’s really out here trying to act like it’s ending because she’s “not being challenged enough,” and not at all because of the steep decline in ratings and toxic work environment. It was a slow news week, but we have a theory that the shittiest stories result in our best episodes, so you’re in for a treat!

We thought this segment would just be a basic recap, until Audrey dove into Bill Gates’ 30+ year arrangement to take annual trips with his ex-girlfriend? And we can’t forget the fact that Melinda Gates is currently renting a $132,000/night private island to avoid the media (18:36-30:32).

First up, John Mayer is in talks with ViacomCBS to host his own late-night talk show? We’re down for the show, but we’re unfortunately not down to pay for yet another streaming service (we’re looking at you, Paramount Plus).
