The Wrongful Conviction of Ron Moffatt

Listen Later

In 1957, the youngest serial killer in Canada was caught after having killed three children in four months. What many don't know about Peter Woodcock's story is that a 14 year old had been wrongfully convicted for one of those murders after giving a false confession. It took six decades before Ron Moffatt was ready to tell his story to author Nate Hendley for his book The Boy on the Bicycle. And now Ron is sharing his story at book signings, Innocence Canada events, and on podcasts to warn of the real consequences of allowing children to be interrogated without a parent present and using uncorroborated confessions in criminal trials.Support the show: https://www.patreon.com/impactstatementSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
