If you're driving I-80 between Cheyenne and Laramie in anything taller than a sedan, seriously reconsider your route. The upside? Temperatures rocket to 60 degrees this afternoon — 20 degrees above normal. Tonight drops to 32 under thickening clouds.

Central Wyoming gets the breezy version. High near 58 degrees with gusts to 30 miles an hour. but here's the kicker. A Red Flag Warning fires up at 11 A.M. For Natrona County. Humidity craters to 15 percent. One spark, one ember. and we've got problems. Tonight settles at 35 degrees.

Western Wyoming is the outlier. You're at 21 degrees right now, feels like 19 degrees. High today reaches 46 under mostly sunny skies. but the quiet doesn't last. Snow sneaks in after 3 A.M. Sunday morning. Valleys see a dusting, mountains pick up a few inches.

Sunday brings moisture statewide. Rain showers develop by afternoon. Highs hold in the mid-50s.

The work week stays active. Monday and Tuesday bring rain below, snow in the mountains. Wednesday offers a sunny breather. Then another system rolls in Thursday with more precipitation chances.

Down in Southeast Wyoming, you'll climb to 54 degrees with gusts near 55. Feels like 29 around 7 A.M. before the sun does its thing. Tonight drops to 38, then Friday jumps to 58.

Central Wyoming starts at 32 right now. You're hitting 53 this afternoon with gusts to 36 miles an hour. Low tonight is 36. And Friday brings 58 degrees.

Western Wyoming is the cool pocket. You're at 25 under mostly cloudy skies. Highs only reach 38 today, dropping to 20 tonight.

Here's the real danger: humidity crashes to 15 to 20 percent with these screaming winds. Red Flag Warnings are up through Friday evening. One spark and we've got a wildfire running.

The week ahead stays warm. Saturday could hit 61 degrees in the southeast — nearly 15 degrees above normal for late February. Rain and snow showers return Sunday, mainly west of the Divide.

Southeast Wyoming, you're waking up to 40 degrees. Brief rain around 4 A.M., then mostly sunny. You'll hit 56 degrees right around 2 P.M. But here's the kicker.. Steady west winds at 35 miles an hour all day long. Tonight drops to 31. By 4 A.M. tomorrow, it'll feel like 22 degrees.

Central Wyoming, you're at 43 degrees now. Mixed precipitation rolls in from 1 P.M. to 10 P.M. High of 55 around 2 P.M., then temperatures start falling. Winds gust to 38 miles an hour around 10 A.M. Tonight's low hits 31. Feels like 26 by 3 A.M.

Western Wyoming, you've got the wildest ride. Winter Storm Warning for Yellowstone through 5 P.M. Another 5 to 10 inches of snow possible. Mixed precipitation from 4 A.M. to 10 P.M., heaviest around 6 A.M. High of 41 around 2 P.M. Gusts hit 28 miles an hour near noon. Tonight plummets to 18 degrees. By 4 A.M., it'll feel like 12.

Looking at the week ahead. Thursday and Friday stay sunny but windy with highs in the 50s. Saturday mellows out near 60. Sunday and Monday bring our next shot at rain and snow showers.

Jackson Hole could see two feet of fresh powder up high, but here's the twist.. Midday brings rain. Yes, rain in February. Then it flips back to snow overnight, which means black ice waiting for you Wednesday morning. Teton and Togwotee Passes? Near zero visibility with winds gusting to 60 miles an hour. Southeast Wyoming, you're getting slammed by wind. A high wind warning kicks in at 5 P.M. Today — gusts to 75 miles an hour. That's hurricane force. Cheyenne hits 57 degrees by 3 P.M., but with 17 mile an hour winds gusting to 30, it feels like 16 at 7 A.M. Tonight drops to 34, but winds stay fierce at 15 to 20, gusting to 35. Tuesday? Same 57 degree high, but now you've got 25 to 35 mile an hour winds gusting to 55. This isn't a breeze, folks. This is a shove.

Central Wyoming, you're in the middle. Casper sees 52 degrees by 2 P.M. Today with 20 mile an hour winds gusting to 38. Tonight falls to 40 with gusts to 43. Tuesday brings 54 degrees and thickening clouds — rain showers possible after 5 A.M. Wednesday.

Western Wyoming, you're getting buried. Jackson Hole starts at 45 degrees today, but snow showers kick in at 10 P.M. — 1 to 3 inches overnight. Tuesday? Snow all day. Another 1 to 3 inches with a high of 39. The Tetons and Absarokas? A winter storm warning starts 5 A.M. Tuesday. Teton Pass could see 18 to 24 inches by Wednesday. Wednesday turns to rain and snow mix with winds gusting to 40 — blowing snow makes travel brutal.

Here's your week ahead. Tuesday through Wednesday is the main event — heavy snow in the west, dangerous winds in the southeast. Thursday gives you a break with sunny 50s. Then Friday through Sunday? More wind. Another system Saturday brings slight snow chances north, but relentless 30 to 40 mile an hour gusts statewide.
