Celebrities like American Idol's Paula Abdul and radio host Rush Limbaugh aren't the only ones who fall victim to the dangers of prescription painkillers. According to the federal government, nearly 7 million Americans abused prescription drugs in 2007 - more than those who abused marijuana, cocaine, heroin and Ecstasy combined. It represents a more than 80 percent increase in such abuse since 2000, but it doesn't have to be that way. "Treating pain with painkillers is like taking over the counter medicine for a flu," said nutritionalist Robert Redfern, and author of the book The Miracle Enzyme Is Serrapeptase from Naturally Healthy Publications . "The drugs mask the symptoms, but do nothing to cure the infection or prevent further infections. Pain in general is caused by excessively inflamed tissue, dead tissue or scar tissue. Swelling may accompany the pain especially in cases of acute pain such 'after an operation' or a sports injury. Even excessive inflammation in the arteries and veins can cause pain (as in vascular migraines). The point is, there are natural ways to actually control the excess inflammation itself to relieve pain, instead of numbing your brain and nervous system with dangerously addictive drugs." Robert is a health expert and nutritionalist who co-developed the HealthPoint™, the world's foremost electronic acupressure device. This was based upon the electronic waveform research of Dr. Julian Kenyon, M.D. This has become the Gold Standard Electro-Acupressure device and is now successfully used by tens of thousands of users throughout the world and in many hospitals by physiotherapists. After that experience, he began studying systemic enzymes and their health benefits, incorporating them into his life, leading to his writing The Miracle Enzyme Is Serrapeptase from Naturally Healthy Publications. Robert's health plans have been followed by tens of thousands of people and the majority that stayed with their program have reaped tremendous benefits.- www.themiracleenzyme.com

X Minus One was a half-hour science fiction radio series broadcast from April 24, 1955 to January 9, 1958 in various timeslots on NBC. Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51), X Minus One is widely considered among the finest science fiction dramas ever produced for radio. The first 15 episodes were new versions of Dimension X episodes, but the remainder were adaptations by NBC staff writers, including Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts, of newly published science fiction stories by leading writers in the field, including Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Frederik Pohl and Theodore Sturgeon along with some original scripts by Kinoy and Lefferts. Episodes of the show include adaptations of Robert Sheckley's "Skulking Permit," Bradbury's "Mars Is Heaven," Heinlein's "Universe" and "The Green Hills of Earth", " Pohl's "The Tunnel under the World," J. T. McIntosh's "Hallucination Orbit," Fritz Leiber's "A Pail of Air" and George Lefferts' "The Parade." The series was canceled after the 126th broadcast on January 9, 1958. However, the early 1970s brought a wave of nostalgia for old-time radio; a new experimental episode, "The Iron Chancellor" by Robert Silverberg, was created in 1973, but it failed to revive the series. NBC also tried broadcasting the old recordings, but their irregular once-monthly scheduling kept even devoted listeners from following the broadcasts. All episodes of the show survive.
