X Minus One was a half-hour science fiction radio series broadcast from April 24, 1955 to January 9, 1958 in various timeslots on NBC. Initially a revival of NBC's Dimension X (1950-51), X Minus One is widely considered among the finest science fiction dramas ever produced for radio. The first 15 episodes were new versions of Dimension X episodes, but the remainder were adaptations by NBC staff writers, including Ernest Kinoy and George Lefferts, of newly published science fiction stories by leading writers in the field, including Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, Robert A. Heinlein, Frederik Pohl and Theodore Sturgeon along with some original scripts by Kinoy and Lefferts. Episodes of the show include adaptations of Robert Sheckley's "Skulking Permit," Bradbury's "Mars Is Heaven," Heinlein's "Universe" and "The Green Hills of Earth", " Pohl's "The Tunnel under the World," J. T. McIntosh's "Hallucination Orbit," Fritz Leiber's "A Pail of Air" and George Lefferts' "The Parade." The series was canceled after the 126th broadcast on January 9, 1958. However, the early 1970s brought a wave of nostalgia for old-time radio; a new experimental episode, "The Iron Chancellor" by Robert Silverberg, was created in 1973, but it failed to revive the series. NBC also tried broadcasting the old recordings, but their irregular once-monthly scheduling kept even devoted listeners from following the broadcasts. All episodes of the show survive.

In the early 1970s, as a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) - he researched fish kills and industrial pollution. As a result, a major industry pled guilty after being indicted by a Federal Grand Jury based on Marks' water sample and photographic evidence under the 1899 Refuse Act. He received the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA Region II) "Citizen Activist Of The Year" award. After college he traveled Europe and Northwest Africa in order to grasp the significance of the early industrial revolution and old world water management. Upon returning to the U.S., he worked as Senior Environ-mental Analyst for the City of Newark developing programs for storm water runoff; public water supply, and derelict barge and pier removal. Mr. Marks resigned from Newark to do a self-defined coast-to-coast horseback odyssey across America entitled, "Ride for Nature" - to help raise water consciousness. The trek used a lead horse and packhorse; lasted for 20 months; passed through 25 states, and traversed over 7,000 miles while living outside full time. During the journey - Marks spoke before audiences at college campuses; ranch and equestrian associations; civic organizations; Rotary; chambers of commerce; Lions clubs; museums, and many others. "Ride For Nature" received major national and international media attention. He was Founder/President (14 years) of Martha's Vineyard's first State-Certified water testing laboratory and environmental consulting firm named - Vineyard Environmental Protection, Inc., and Founder/President (15 years) of Vineyard Environmental Research, Inst. (VERI), where he researched acid rain and groundwater mobilization of metals with grants from USEPA; American Water Works Association (AWWA); New England Water Works Association (NEWWA), and performed coastal erosion and sea level research with scientists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Inst. In the mid-1980s he was responsible for saving 3 of Martha's Vineyard's lighthouses from being torn down so they may be opened to the public and preserved for maritime history, while also protecting the surrounding ecosystems. After giving testimony before Congress - he was successful in having three of the island's five lighthouses transferred to the organization he founded - Vineyard Environmental Research, Institute. Mr. Marks served as Chair of the Greenlands Committee, which saved 400 acres from dense development over Martha's Vineyard's only drinking water aquifer. His authorship of the town of West Tisbury's first Open Space Plan qualified Greenlands for state conservation aquifer protection funding; as well, he authored the Open Space Plan for the town of Edgartown, for the protection of fragile ecosystems, wetlands, vistas, and endangered species; in the early 1980s he undertook the first study of all of the island's underground fuel tanks and authored local by-laws for protecting underground and coastal waters from leaking fuel tanks. Mr. Marks is the only official from Martha's Vineyard elected to the Board of the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions (MACC), for the protection of wetlands in over 300 communities statewide. He also received the "Groundwater Guardian Award" from the international Groundwater Foundation, which was presented by Gilbert M. Grosvenor, Chairman of the Board of National Geographic Society. He is also recipient of the "Water Hero Award" from the World Water Rescue Foundation, and is an international water advisor to the Board of the Women International Coalition Organization (WICO) based in the UK. He founded and published Martha's Vineyard Magazine and Nantucket Magazine for 6 years. Both magazines had an environmental emphasis. He is author of the History of Wind Power on Martha's Vineyard, and The Holy Order of Water, Healing Earth's Waters and Ourselves, a philosophical, spiritual, healing book - and writes water articles and poetry for regional; national, and international publications, includin

Police Confirm they have found 8 year-old Victoria Stafford's Body - It was on the April 8th Edition of The 'X' Zone that Sarnia psychic Robbie Thomas came on the show and asked the members of The 'X' Zone Nation to pray for the swift return of Victoria Stafford to her family. Robbie said that Victoria would be found alive - the following report shows that he was wrong. Should psychics be held responsible for their predictions and the way that they effect the mental and emotional states of those who are immediately involved by what they said? Here is the story confirming the OPP confirming that the remains found near Mount Forest on Sunday (July 19 2009) were in fact those of Victoria Stafford: by Kate Yule - Tuesday, July 21, 2009 - Ontario Provincial Police have confirmed that the remains found in the Mount Forest area on Sunday are those of Tori Stafford. Police used dental records to identify the remains. They have not yet determined a cause of death, and say that a more complete examination could take a week or longer to complete. Tori, who would have turned nine this week, was abducted in Woodstock in April. Two people were arrested and charged with her kidnapping and murder, but police had been unable to locate the girl's body. Acting Oxford police chief Rod Freeman says he hopes the confirmation brings the family and community some comfort. The discovery of Tori's remains allows police to now focus on the trial of the two suspects in her death. Michael Rafferty and Terri-Lynne McClintick, residents of Tori's hometown, are charged with murder and kidnapping. They face trial next year.

Our prayers and love are with the family and friends of Victoria Stafford.

Sarah was whisked from Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 3, and found herself on Pictou Island, Nova Scotia without an indoor toilet until the age of 12. Four years later, she moved off the island to the "mainland" to complete her schooling and experience bathtubs. The high school experience was not nearly as great as the bathtub. She then graduated the NSCC Screen Arts program in 2002 and decided to learn how an office ran before running a production office. Since then she worked for the Ironworkers Union, a Regional Development Agency, a Private Career College and several music festivals including the East Coast Music Awards. She has fixed computers, saved lives, painted murals, ripped apart car engines and once made someone laugh so hard they puked. She counts on her knowledge and experience to be the supportive and complimentary Production Manager and First Assistant Director that Charlie Mac Productions needs. Since joining Charlie Mac Productions, Sarah has directed the horror short film "Windows Of The Soul" along with a flash animation series that she helped co-create titled "Let Them Eat" about zombie kittens with laser-beam eyes. She has also helped manage other projects like a promotional video for health and wellness workshops for young girls as well as a music video for Mike Bochoff. Currently she is working on the latest episode of "Let Them Eat" as well as directing a music video for Save September. - www.charliemacproductions.com and www.windowsofthesoulfilm.com
