Josephine Slabbert grew up in a house full of drug addicts, rapists, thieves and pimps. She was raped multiple times, lived in constant fear, suffered physical abuse and was forced to deal drugs. Her abusive husband was embarrassed by her race. It's a nightmare life none of us can imagine, but similar stories happen all over the world. Invite Josephine to discuss her experiences overcoming a lifetime of suffering, and how abused children can break the cycle of violence as they grow up. Who can a child turn to when his or her own parents are the abusers? The younger they are when the abuse starts, the more likely the child will be to blame him or herself. Josephine Slabbert is a survivor of a lifetime of child and domestic abuse. She is speaking out on normally taboo topics to help others who suffer realize they are not alone. Josephine currently lives in South Africa, runs a soup kitchen for her community and has cared for more than 100 refugee children from war torn countries. She is now happily married and the mother of five children. Josephine is the author of IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE?, a memoir of abuse and triumph. - www.authorhouse.com

America's Wellness Revolution - Sharon Bruckman launched the original Natural Awakenings magazine in Naples, Florida, in 1994 when she recognized the need in her local community for a resource to share information and connect with people searching for alternative and natural ways of caring for their health and the environment. Since then, her enterprise has grown organically, responding to people's increasing awareness of the critically interlinked issues we face today because of mainstream approaches to health care, food production and environmental systems. Over the past 20 years, other entrepreneurs drawn to her vision, mission and supportive model for business success have joined the publishing family to bring Natural Awakenings to their respective home markets. The founding Southwest Florida magazine is now the flagship of the nation's largest franchise publishing network in the mind-body-spirit field. Bruckman's vision continues to bring fresh projects, venues and ideas aimed to benefit local publishers, advertisers, readers and the wider community. The entire leadership team nurtures this noble lifework, mindful of the impact of collectively reaching its fullest potential.

Watch Your Thoughts - In a time where individuality and change are the key, the answer for change is Gerald Dean. With a passion for change and the ambition to step out not only faith alone but move through works, this small business owner turned writer is definitely on to a movement. Marriage, divorce, single fatherhood, rough young adult years, and learning though failing Dean has used these life lessons along with his relationship with Christ to illustrate the power of prayer and how it has undoubtedly changed his life. This young man has been able to put his struggle into words and his words into action. Like Lao Tse was quoted, "Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become action. Watch your action; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." When your thoughts and desire of your heart are aligned with God's purpose then your habits are actions that are works of God and of Good.
