Brian Griffith grew up in Texas, studied history at the University of Alberta, and now lives just outside of Toronto, Ontario. He is an independent historian who examines how cultural history influences our lives, and how collective experience offers insights for our future. Charles Hall claims to have witnessed and interacted with a race of extraterrestrials he described as 'tall whites' while serving at Nellis Airforce Base as a duty weather observer from 1965-67. Mike M. Joseph was born in 1944 to a strict Biblically oriented Orthodox Jewish family in British Aden, Yemen. In 1949, his entire family moved to Israel, after a local Arab pogrom took the lives of his mother and three other brothers. In 1963 the author moved to Paris, France to study French and work in the fashion industry. In late 1965 the author moved to New York where, about four years later, a change in his religious convictions led him to a community practicing both the Old and New Testament teachings and laws of the Bible. From 1970-1975 the author served on the faculty of a local private college in Pasadena, California - teaching both modern and Biblical Hebrew to students and ministers on Sabbatical year. At the same time, the author attended classes and graduated with a B.A. degree in Liberal Arts - with a major in Theology. After graduation in 1975, and later ordination, Mr. Joseph began his service in the Field Ministry in the Pasadena area congregations. Through the years, Mr. Joseph has published three books and dozens of articles about Biblical, historic, and human relationships subjects. He presently attends a local congregation in the West valley area of San Fernando Valley, California. Peter McCue worked for many years as a clinical psychologist in the National Health Service in the UK. He lives in Scotland. His qualifications include a Ph.D., from the University of Glasgow, awarded for a thesis based on research into the nature of hypnosis. His interest in psychical research goes back decades. He believes that paranormal phenomena occur, and that many UFO experiences are genuinely anomalous. n 1993, an experiment was done in Washington, DC, a city known for having a very high crime rate. The experiment was carried out to prove the hypothesis that if the square root of 1% of a population meditated at the same time, with the same intent, crime would drop. It did.
Significantly. For approximately 8 weeks, 4000 members of a Transcendental Meditation group arrived in Washington and meditated. Sometimes there were more of them, sometimes less. They came when they could and stayed as long as they could to conduct the experiment. The results shocked everyone (except the meditators). All types of crime, violent and non-violent, dropped 15% - 24% during that period. Civic records were scanned as far back as possible to see if the massive drop had ever happened before, or if there could be any other explanation. It hadn't and there wasn't.
