Marla LaRue claims that she had a UFO hovering over her house while an Alien probe was in her living room and then she claims that her, her boyfriend and their cat were abducted by Aliens and when they came to, when she looked up, she saw the roots of trees and believes they were in an underground base…probably Area 51. Upon their return to her home, the boyfriend was face down on the waterbed and he had no recall of any alien abduction. The cat was there and there was an odor of antifreeze in the house. In both cases she did not call the authorities - but claims to have filed a report with the NUFORC. She then joined an Encounters group in Pine bush which called in Bud Hopkins. He came to the group, recorded the encounter groups stories, but she heard nothing more. When further questioned on the encounters, alien abductions and encounter group, she decided to hang up.

It made the vehicle very hot and the group apparently suffered from physical effects due to the encounter.

JOHN MICHAEL GREER - The UFO Phenomenon and Secrets of the Lost Symbol - Born in the gritty Navy town of Bremerton, Washington and raised in the south Seattle suburbs, John Michael Greer began writing about as soon as he could hold a pencil. SF editor George Scithers' dictum that all would-be writers have a million words of so of bad prose in them, and have to write it out, pretty much sums up the couple of decades between his first serious attempt to write a book and his first published book, Paths of Wisdom, which appeared in 1996. These days he lives in Cumberland, MD with his spouse Sara; serve as presiding officer -- Grand Archdruid is the official title -- of the Ancient Order of Druids in America (AODA), a Druid order founded in 1912; and writes in half a dozen nonfiction fields, nearly all of them focused on the revival of forgotten ideas, insights, and traditions of practice from the rubbish heap of history. - www.redroom.com/author/john-michael-greer

Smith tries to spin a story based on an urban legend told by people who have no evidence but spin a good yarn. The event allegedly happened in 1941 but only came to light first in the 60's and then gained the attention of hungry ufologists and reality TV producers after a letter surfaced by Charlotte Ann Mann - who claimed that she was told the story of the alleged UFO crash by her grandmother. You be the judge. Believers of this urban legend, which parallels the events of the Roswell Incident of 1947, claim that the Cape Girardeau event was the first UFO crash and not Roswell.

Nick Pope used to run the British Government's UFO project at the Ministry of Defense. Initially skeptical, his research and investigation into the UFO phenomenon and access to formerly classified government files on the subject soon convinced him that the phenomenon raised important defense and national security issues, especially when the witnesses were military pilots or where UFOs were tracked on radar. Nick also looked into other mysteries such as alien abductions, crop circles and ghosts. He now continues his research in a private capacity and is recognized as a leading authority on UFOs and the unexplained. He does extensive media work, lectures all around the world and has acted as consultant on numerous television documentaries.

Scottish-born professional artist who paints images of an inner reality perceived through meditation and claims to be a herald of "the reappearance of the Christ" at the end of the twentieth century. Born in Glasgow in 1922, early in his life Creme became attracted to theosophical literature, especially the writings of Alice A. Bailey. In the 1950s he also joined the Aetherius Society, an occult-oriented flying saucer contact group founded by George King, in which he learned a form of meditation called "transmission" meditation. Throughout the 1950s Creme was in direct contact with the Great White Brotherhood, the assembly of beings believed by Theosophists to guide the destiny of humankind. Creme claimed that in 1959 he received a telepathic communication from his own master, a member of the divine hierarchy, who told him that he would have a part to play in the return of Maitreya, the Christ. (In Theosophy, the person who walked the earth as Jesus, and is called the Christ by Christians, is identified as Maitreya, the bodhisattva whom many Buddhists expect to appear in the near future.) A constant and conscious telepathic link was established with this master, by which Creme received precise and up-to-date information about the reappearance of the Christ, which Bailey had predicted to occur toward the end of the twentieth century. - www.share-international.org
