Ben Moss is MUFON’s Chief Field Investigator in Virginia and a member of the rapid deployment Star Team (Strike Team Area Research)l He is a guest expert on History’s Hangar 1 TV show, and has written numerous articles for the MUFON UFO Journal and various online websites. Tony has been studying UFOs since the early 90s. He became an investigator in 1999 while living in Northern Virginia. The executive director of the Mutual UFO Network, one of the oldest UFO research organizations in the United States, has been arrested on charges of soliciting a minor “for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity,” according to police. Jan Harzan, who has headed MUFON since 2013, is accused of soliciting “sexual activity from a detective he believed was a 13-year-old girl,” according to a release from the Huntington Beach, CA police department.

James Clarkson is an Investigator who has stood in two worlds for many years – a career professional investigator in the criminal justice field and as a lifelong researcher of the UFO Mystery. He has been a plainclothes military police investigator, a 20-year career city police officer and fraud investigator who has had many titles: patrol supervisor, detective sergeant, fatal accident team manager and training officer. After retiring with 20 years’ service, he became a child abuse detective and then he completed another decade of service as a fraud investigator for a Washington state agency.

Meanwhile, for the last 30 years he has studied the mystery of UFOs with the same attention to detail that he applied to criminal investigations. In 1986 he joined the Mutual UFO Network. Applying the same passion for solving mysteries to the world of High Strangeness, James Clarkson serves as the Washington State Director of MUFON and the Special Assignments Team for MUFON. Long time MUFON board member Tom Whitmore had been a San Antonio Texas resident since 1984. Originally from Tulsa, Tom graduated with a degree in business administration from Portland State University and had a career in the financial industry since the 1970’s. He was most recently employed as a financial analyst with a local firm in San Antonio where he retired in 2019. He is an accomplished guitarist and has a daughter who is a pre-school teacher.
Tom was invited to join the MUFON board in 1995 and experienced the organization’s progress through the successive administrations of Walt Andrus, John Schuessler, James Carrion, Clifford Clift, Dave McDonald and Jan Harzan. He serves as Treasurer and focuses on long term and strategic issues for the organization.
Tom has been fascinated by military and intelligence agencies’ interactions with the UFO public. He has undertaken a research study of the history of the MJ12 affair, and intends to eventually publish his findings. He participates in discussions of the MJ12 topic by giving presentations to local UFO groups, appearing on Internet Podcasts and Radio Shows, and by communicating in social media. Ken Cherry is a former Texas State MUFON director, author and investigator who left MUFON claiming that they were holding back resources from him and that MUFON had been infiltrated by the intelligence community. Jan was named Executive Director of MUFON on August 2013. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Engineering and spent 37 years as an executive with IBM in sales and marketing before retiring to become Executive Director of MUFON. Jan’s interest in UFOs began at an early age when he read an article on UFOs. Based on this and other research he and his brother decided to build a flying saucer believing that electromagnetic propulsion was the key to how these craft were able to travel such great distances. Kathleen Marden, B.A., C.Ht., QHHT is a one of the world’s foremost authorities on UFO and NHI contact, the author of several books, a featured on-camera commentator, and an international lecturer. She earned a B.A. degree in social work and worked as an educator and education services coordinator while attending graduate school. She is a practitioner of regression hypnosis and the Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique and is Director of the Sacred Pathways Center for Hypnosis. Following a short scholarship to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Abbott completed a bachelor’s degree in politics and economics at the University of York, England and later researched a master’s thesis at the University of Cambridge on global trade in the aerospace industry.
