Garnet Schulhauser is a retired lawyer who lives near Victoria, on Vancouver Island, with his wife Cathy. After practicing corporate law for over thirty years in Calgary with two blue-chip law firms, he retired in 2008 and his first book, Dancing on a Stamp, was published in 2012. Since the release of his first book, Garnet has been active with book signing tours and speaking engagements, and has been interviewed on over one hundred twenty radio talk shows broadcast from studios in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.

In Dancing on a Stamp, Garnet recounts how his life changed dramatically one day when he was confronted on the street by a homeless man named Albert (who was actually a wise spirit in disguise). This seemingly chance encounter launched a provocative dialogue with Albert who disclosed startling new revelations about our true nature as eternal souls, the cycle of reincarnation on Earth, and the afterlife that awaits us all.

Digital Terrorism - 'A gang of Russian hackers has amassed over 1 billion username and password combinations and more than 500 million email addresses, a security firm reported late Tuesday, calling it the largest-ever haul of stolen Internet credentials. The massive trove - stolen from hundreds of thousands of websites - was discovered by the Milwaukee firm Hold Security, according to a post on its website. According to the post, it took more than seven months of research to identify the gang, whom the firm dubbed CyberVor, or cyber-thief in Russian. Intrusions against large retail or other chains designed to steal payment card information or other personal data en masse have multiplied in recent months. Most famously, retail giant Target was hit over the holidays last year, and 40 million payment card numbers were stolen. Many of the hacker gangs behind these attacks are based in Russia and Eastern Europe, which have grown into global centers of cybercrime while Russian officials have largely turned a blind eye. The U.S. has ramped up extraditions and prosecutions of Russian cyber criminals, but that has not stemmed the tide. Don Allison, a veteran journalist and author, is a lifelong resident of Williams County, Ohio, where he shares a historic home with his wife, Diane. A 1976 graduate of Stryker High School, Don earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from the University of Toledo in 1980.

Drawing on knowledge gained from a lifetime of studying the Civil War, Don has written extensively about that conflict. He and Diane are the founders of Faded Banner Publications, which publishes books on the Civil War and Northwest Ohio history, as well as the paranormal.

Currently Don is co-authoring, with fellow Northwest Ohio historian Richard Cooley, a book on the 38th Ohio Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War.

For nearly four decades Don has served on the Williams County, Ohio, Historical Society Board of Trustees, and through the years he has held various offices with the organization. He spearheaded the successful effort in which the society acquired and preserved the 1845 Society of Friends Meeting House in western Williams County.
