The Xbox Wrap Up

A lighter news week but still an interesting one as we see the release of the Steam Deck, and Guardians of the Galaxy comes to GamePass. Playstation owners are getting their fill with Horizon, Elden Ring, and now Gran Turismo 7 coming out as a great racing game. While Xbox fans are looking forward to more content for Halo Infinite they will have to live with Elden Ring as their current go-to for what's hot on the Xbox. It seems silly to say so considering Elden Ring is the highest-rated game of the year and selling a ton. Here are the sources for the show, I wish I got to talk more about Zelda but I will have to hold off on that just due to time. Hope you have a good week and a good weekend.

This week we saw the launch of Elden Ring which came out to rave reviews. It's an amazing game and if you love FromSoftware there's no reason you shouldn't pick this up. Destiny 2 Witch Queen also launched and is an awesome expansion that allows lapsed players to come back and be at the same level as all the other Guardians playing. We finally got good luck at the PS VR2 headset and I'm really hopeful for this hardware and its chances at releasing this year. There was a bunch of news that I cover in between to sit back, relax and let's get you caught up with the news.

Lots of random bits of news this week to bring you up to date with, the biggest probably being Call of Duty and other Activision Blizzard games will remain multiplatform. Good news for Call of Duty fans on Playstation. Nintendo had a Direct this week which brought with it a host of new first-party games but also some third-party games that will be coming to Xbox and Playstation. Stadia is rebranding and becoming a white label product. Those are just the highlights, as usual here is a dump of links from my research. If your name is Hermione Granger you will probably end up clicking on each one and reading in full everything I already did. I'm definitely ready for my O.W.L.s

A lot of random stories this week and I ended up getting a little ranty in the middle there but the good news is you're all caught up with the news this week! Raw links below for sources and hopefully I worked out the audio issues from last week, for some reason I've been having issues since updating my software. The lesson of the day: Don't Update Anything Ever!

An amazing week for news on Xbox. Microsoft agrees to purchase Activision Blizzard and Troy Baker aligns himself with a voiceAI NFT company. Most of the episode is dedicated to the acquisition so strap in to hear everything you'll need to know from this week's gaming news.

Welcome to the inaugural episode of the Xbox Wrap UP podcast!

Lots of topics were covered in this week's episode including Goldeneye coming in 2022, PSVR 2, and Horizon Call of the Wild. Ubisoft+ making its way to Xbox and Rainbow Six Extraction coming day one to Xbox Game Pass. News on what's coming and going for Game Pass, PS Now, and Games with Gold and PS Plus. My short-hand thoughts on Uncharted as a game I missed during WoW and jumping into Uncharted 2 before the PS5 versions of Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy come at the end of the month.

There is a Youtube channel but currently, nothing is uploaded for now.

Welcome to the Xbox Wrap Up Podcast!

This show is going to cover the gaming news in a weekly format. Each Friday I want to grab the biggest headlines and give you the most important information so you're kept up-to-date with what's going on in gaming. I also plan to talk about my gaming history with what I missed because of World of Warcraft. I also want to talk about game deals, I love saving money on games and picking stuff up after the rest of the industry has moved on. If you're subscribed to GamePass or PS Plus I plan to keep you in the know about what coming, going, and if they're worth diving into. I'm excited to have an outlet for general gaming conversation and plan to have you the listener be a key part of where this show goes.
