  • Ep 75 - Kevin Monroe - Hope Grows in Gratitude

As a child, Kevin was taught to be polite—to say “please” and “thank you” like all the kids are. You could say that he learned a cursory form of gratitude at an early age.

But take a pause and think for a moment, is being thankful and being grateful the same thing?

This is what Kevin talks about in this ultimate gratitude podcast. So if you want to discover the true power of gratitude and embrace gratitude as a lifestyle then this episode is just for you.

During a bout of depression in early 2018 when Kevin began to discover the true power of gratitude and embrace gratitude as a lifestyle. He realized that his early expressions of gratitude were anemic and bordered on robotic. As such, they failed to tap into the power of gratitude that neuroscientists and positive psychologists talk about.

As he adopted gratitude as a lifestyle, he began incorporating gratitude into his work. Whether that was speaking engagements, training or coaching sessions, or his podcast, he started sessions by asking people to pause and express gratitude for something.

Then, in June 2019, he was inspired to host a gratitude challenge. So he did. At first, it was in conjunction with his podcast. He hosted a 10-Day Gratitude Challenge to celebrate the 100th episode milestone. It was a tremendous success with almost 300 participants, and by the second day, a 100-person waitlist.

So, he launched a second session of the challenge. And it grew—organically and globally. By the fifth session, more than 1,000 people from 40-plus countries had participated, and by the 10th session, that number grew to over 2,000 people from more than 50 countries. Somehow, Kevin had tapped into the power of gratitude and people’s hunger for it.

He also co-created The Gratitude Challenge Card Deck, a resource that shares 52 of the creative prompts from The Gratitude Challenge for people to use to grow and guide gratitude in their life, work, or family.

His latest endeavor is 30 Days IN the Power of Gratitude, an app-based journey helping people explore and embrace the power of gratitude in a 30-day journey.

He is the founder and host of This Extraordinary Life Global Community and Podcast.

Kevin is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership. He has an undergraduate degree in theology from Mercer University. He is a Fellow with Creating the Future and The Colson Center. He lives in Woodstock, Georgia, where he enjoys being a husband, father, grandfather, friend, creator, and gratitude guide.

  • Ep 74 - Jose Leal - How To Seek A Radical Purpose In Life?

Seeking a radical purpose in life is something that humanity has been aiming for, since centuries. But humanity must undergo a radical revolution in the way we see ourselves, nature, and our mission. We need to change the paradigm so that we can fully express our willingness to work together and have an impact as a group.

This is what we discuss in this podcast. Learn what led Jose to the point in his life that, despite his triumphs, he began to doubt his surroundings and actions in this interview. He gives us a new definition of "radical" through research into human behaviour and psychology and the fusion of the body, mind, and heart.

Jose is an entrepreneur, a change agent, a paradigm shifter, a researcher, and an author. He is the co-founder of Radical Purpose, a Collaborative helping other people switch to ways of collaborating that suit their needs.

His primary concerns are in devising strategies to escape from the current prevailing systems of coercion and exposing the truths about them. In doing so, he sketches out the workplace of the future, one with a balanced environment. This frequently results in harmony and a sense of purpose fulfillment for the individual.

After 13 years of working in a dysfunctional organisation and industry, Jose realised that he could no longer live or make a contribution to the dysfunction of the systems of force. In order to create the Radical Purpose Framework, Collaborative Canvas, and Collaborative Agreement as well as co-author Radical Companies, he has spent the last seven years studying human motivation and organisational environments.

  • Ep 69 - Bob Burg - Are you a Giver? If not, learn ways to be a Go-Giver

What does it mean to give and be a Go giver? For me personally, giving is a way of life, like a purpose and our actions should reflect that way of life.

In this episode, Bob Burg joined us on The xMonks Drive to explain giving. Let’s hear from the master about how he came up with this concept of giving and how can this be applied in the business context today.

Bob Burg shares how a subtle shift in focus is not only a more uplifting and fulfilling way of conducting business but the most financially profitable way, as well. For 30 years he’s helped companies, sales leaders, and their teams to more effectively communicate their value, sell at higher prices with less resistance, and grow their businesses based on Endless Referrals.

Bob has regularly addressed audiences ranging in size from 50 to 16,000 — sharing the platform with notables including today’s top thought leaders, broadcast personalities, Olympic athletes and political leaders including a former United States President.

Although for years he was best known for his book Endless Referrals, it’s his business parable, The Go-Giver (coauthored with John David Mann) that captured the imagination of his readers.

The Go-Giver, a Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek Bestseller, has sold over a million copies. Since its release it has consistently stayed in the Top 25 on Porchlight’s (formerly 800-CEO-READ) Business Book Bestsellers List. The book has been translated into 30 languages. It was rated #10 on Inc. Magazine’s list of the Most Motivational Books Ever Written, and was on HubSpot’s 20 Most Highly Rated Sales Books of All Time.

Bob is the author of a number of books on sales, marketing and influence, with total book sales approaching two million copies.

The American Management Association named Bob one of the 30 Most Influential Leaders and he was named one of the Top 200 Most Influential Authors in the World by Richtopia.

Bob is an advocate, supporter and defender of the Free Enterprise system, believing that the amount of money one makes is directly proportional to how many people they serve.

He is also an unapologetic animal fanatic and served on the Board of Directors of Furry Friends Adoption and Clinic in his town of Jupiter, Florida.
