Your business is making money. What it can't tell you is how much it has lost, because the records that would show it are on paper.
Michael Capozzi and Francis Volpe start with a family jewelry store that moved its sales off handwritten receipts for the first time in 30 years of business, and walk through the simple CRM it now runs on: every customer with a birthday, an anniversary and a linked record of every purchase, so lifetime value adds itself up. They cover why every owner should know LTV, what happens to your regulars when staff turns over, how segmenting customers by value changes holiday marketing and gifts, and why operations have to be ready before you spend more on marketing. Michael then lists the eight areas of a business most likely to still be on paper, from the calendar and project management to invoicing, payroll and the how-tos your team follows. The real risk is not the paper. It is everything that lives in one person's head. They close on where to start: audit your own day, and if a simple question takes thirty minutes to answer, fix that first.
THE BUSINESS COLLECTIVE
Most owners make every call alone. There is nobody to bounce the idea off, nobody who has already made the mistake, and no honest second opinion before the money goes out.
The Business Collective is where that stops. It is group-scale access to all three Y Not You partners: a daily knowledge tip, a weekly mastermind and open forum call, a monthly member networking call, and a quarterly guest speaker. Marketing, operations, AI and automation, sales, packaging, and growth, from three operators who do this every day.

Most owners think they're at level three with AI. They're at level one, and skipping ahead exposes every problem the business already had.
Michael Capozzi and Francis Volpe walk through a four-level scale for using AI in a business: AI as a thought partner you treat like Google, as an assistant that drafts your emails, as a teammate you hand work to, and as the system that runs critical workflows. They map Y Not You's own climb up that scale, from notepads and Google Sheets to a Notion workspace that holds the firm's data, and the automation that now creates and sends every invoice through QuickBooks, taking a process that used to eat two days down to about four hours. They also cover why QuickBooks is not a CRM, why marketing without a backend to catch the leads wastes the spend, and what happens when an owner at level one buys an email agent or a team of 40 AI employees. AI does not fix a business that never wrote down its messaging. It exposes it. Get organized first, and stay involved after.

A lawyer had never advertised his subscription business. Organic content alone brought more subscribers, more cases, and referrals from other lawyers he had never worked with.
Francis Volpe and Michael Capozzi walk through the case of Peter Tilem of Tilem & Associates, a former New York City prosecutor who came to Y Not You for a single testimonial video. The strategy that followed: position him as the Second Amendment lawyer, post every video to all five platforms even though he only wanted TikTok, optimize every profile so it points to NY TAC Defense, his prepaid legal plan, and turn the best short clips into six to eight minute long-form videos. His YouTube channel went from 500 subscribers to more than 8,000, with over 2 million views. Judges started recognizing him in court.
They also cover what organic content is and why it tells you something paid cannot, the 10 to 1 call to action ratio, using the comments to decide what to make next, and why you do not need a professional camera to start. Take your own opinion out of it. You are not the audience.

Automation is just a set of rules. AI belongs at the one step that needs a decision, and most owners who struggle with AI have it backwards.
Francis Volpe and Michael Capozzi start with a morning routine explained to a robot and use it to split the two: automation is the steps you repeat, AI is the step that takes thought, like researching a new lead and matching it to your services before you ever hear about it. They cover the two things every AI needs from you, context and instructions, and how to teach it who you are using your own social data exports and writing from before AI existed. Then where a business owner should actually start: get organized first, then use AI as the connector to your own files, then prompt with the CARE framework (Context, Action, Reference, Expectation).
They close on expectations. AI is not going to hand back 30 hours a week. It gives back minutes, and five minutes saved twenty times a day is over an hour. The owner who prompts a chatbot into building a whole system and ships it has usually created a new job, not saved one.

A bagel shop with 22 years and five stores behind it opened its sixth. The campaign started six months before the building was finished, and the owner had never once been on camera.
Francis Volpe and Michael Capozzi break down the blitz campaign behind the largest grand opening in the client's 22-year history. What a blitz campaign is, why organic content and paid advertising only work when they run together, and the objection the client raised first: if organic is already working, what is paid going to do for me. They walk the whole build, from filming pre-construction and interviewing the owner, to an every-other-day Instagram Stories cadence, to repurposing the best content from three years earlier across a 15 to 20 mile radius.
They also cover the part nobody plans for. He ran out of product twice on opening weekend, drove deliveries himself, and had bagels made in the city and shipped up because nobody knew what to expect. The store now ranks near the top of all six, competing against New York City.
