Today, we’re talking about what’s on a lot of people’s minds coming into the fall semester: finding a home. Key takeaways from this podcast are: start early, be careful of scams, and holla at HOJO for any questions about all of it.

Today we dive deep into the depths of sustainability in a podcast that takes you to Mars and back. After joining the CSU midway through the year, Amy Nguyen had a lot of catching up to do, and they did just that. Amongst the many projects discussed in this podcast, we go over an application created and coordinated by Amy that enables homeless people to better maneuver and find shelter, and allows the community to help those who are homeless and point them in the right direction. Do you want to be part of the action? Listen to our short podcast and drop down a name suggestion!

What exactly are we paying for this year at Concordia?
Students are burnt out, mental health services are inadequate, and no one seems to be satisfied with the quality of education being delivered. So, Economic Justice Concordia has began taking action and we’ve taken the opportunity to sit down and discuss their plans to reduce tuition, their Refund 2020 campaign, improve our education standards, and more. Sit back and get a look behind the curtain with two organizers, Ace and Nathalie.
Sex.
I bet you weren’t expecting that. This week’s episode focuses on two medical school student’s non-profit organization Sex[M]ed; a sexual health education platform for healthcare practitioners.
Sexual health being taboo in our society effects all of us, including our own healthcare practitioners. So why aren’t we talking about it?
The founder and co-founder of Sex[M]ed are here to pull back the curtain and discuss it all.

This episode of the Yellow Curtain we get a good look at who is coordinating the finances of the Concordia Student Union. It’s no small task, with over 40,000 undergraduate students, the Finance Coordinator position is managing a multi-million dollar spreadsheet. How does it work? Who is fit for this kind of position? Luckily, Holly Mark-Hilton takes us behind the yellow curtain.
He studies BTM and Marketing at JMSB. This member of the BIPOC committee at the CSU made a recent appearance in the Gazette. Did I mention that he run’s his own business too? We’ve got a lot of catching up to do so let’s get into it. It’s Black History Month and today we have with us our very own Harvin Hilaire, here talk about history, his story, and discrimination in Canada.
The CSU has been running nice and smooth. While that is in part due to a fantastic CSU family, much of the credit can be given to our Internal Affairs Coordinator. It’s no easy task to keep things under wraps, so what exactly is the secret? We finally pull back the curtain and get a good look at what it takes; take a listen to our one and only, Daniel Amico.
This person needs no introduction to Concordia students, at least to those students who came before the shutdown. Honoured by being chosen as a laureate by Mois de L’Histoire Des Noirs, he continues to make his communities proud.
Listen to us pull back the curtain on what goes on in the mind of our one and only, elected General Coordinator of the CSU, Isaiah Joyner.
In 1988, territorial disputes began between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Today, the conflict continues to exist, with a recent escalation in conflict causing thousands of deaths. A former councillor for the CSU brings forwards a personal and historical account of this conflict, and opens a much needed two way dialogue surrounding this issue.
The Yellow Curtain presents to you, Arad Andrew Banis-Khatchadourian.
