Happy Monday and welcome to a fresh week. Tonight I walk you through a simple way to answer how many workouts per week is ideal for you. We zero in on a balanced mix of strength, endurance, and flexibility or mobility so you can feel capable in day to day life and still make progress you can repeat next week.
Walking is our endurance baseline. Getting outside when you can builds real world stamina across different surfaces and distances. You can layer gentle intervals by nudging the effort up a notch for short bouts. Swimming or cycling work too. Do these at home or in the gym. The goal is moving well enough to handle your day without feeling wiped out.
For strength I share an easy total body circuit you can run with dumbbells, bands, or simple bodyweight. Think one move for legs in front, one for legs in back, one pushing move for the front of your torso, and one rowing move for your back. Fifteen reps each, two to three rounds to start, and up to five when you are ready. Most sessions land in the fifteen to thirty minute range.
Flexibility and mobility show up daily for me. Yoga style flows give you big return because the movements connect head to toe. Balance matters too. It helps prevent falls as we age. You can add balance work on its own now and mix it with strength later when you are ready.
If you want a simple target start with two endurance sessions, two strength sessions, and two flexibility or mobility sessions each week. That balanced approach covers what your body needs while leaving room for life. Drop your questions and we will build from there.
