Laurene Lambertino-Urquizo was born and raised in Chicago’s south suburbs, and had 3 children. She studied Art History at several universities & taught on the college level. Well into her adulthood, Laurene began experiencing difficulty in climbing stairs. With advancements in medical science, and after many years, Laurene was ultimately diagnosed with Limb Muscular Dystrophy. She is here today to talk about the road to the correct diagnosis, how her chronic illness affects daily activities, and why she is thriving.
