Our guest for today is Maajoa Asabea Yeboah. She is an entrepreneur in the fashion and tourism industry. In our conversation today we spoke about how Maajoa got into fashion even though she was studying accounting in school. We also talked about her getting interested in tourism and starting a tourism business named EWM Tours. My guest for today is Osamudiamen Imasuen, a product designer at Printivo.com, an online printing company in Nigeria. Mudia which I use as a short name for him is often mentioned in this episode. Mudia is a figma Africa Ambassador where he meets fellow designers to share knowledge and discuss things relating to design. He has the quest to discover how design drives product adoption and growth. This has driven him to be learning and experimenting often. In this episode, I have Ibrahim Mahama as our guest. Ibrahim is a Ghanaian author and an artist of monumental installations. Ibrahim has participated in exhibitions and given lectures in different parts of the world. Not only has he made a name for himself, he has built a museum in the Northern part of Ghana specifically Tamale where he resides. The museum known as the Savannah Centre for Contemporary Arts where the community has access to the space to not only work or learn but imagine as well. With his mantra as “be good”.

With her life in the UK as a young person she connected with authors like Maya Angelou, Ama Atta Aidoo, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Alex Walker, Tony Morris among many who were afar. She found these female authors as a drive to get engaged in Women/Female rights activities. She later returned to Ghana working as Womens’ Right Coordinator for Action Aid. She was a lecturer at the New York University, Ghana.

She resigned from her work to handle her family business which is focused on children's clothing and still actively involved.

In this episode, I interview Philip Boakye Dua Oyinka stage named Nana Asaase. He is a poet and a writer who has purpose in his heart  to hold up the African Tradition in his art. Nana Asaase has performed on various platforms in the presence of both the young and old, rich and poor, known and the unknown. His art throws light on the Ghanaian culture.

As a teenager, Rita noticed how young people were used as weapons of war in the Liberia war. With that understanding she thought of how she can guide young people to be agents of peace and well-being.

She developed the urge to help young people in need. Unknowing to her, this passion will turn into a full time job.

In spite of losing her mum in high school, she persevered to finish her secondary and tertiary education with first class honors.

Rita has worked in the development sector for over 20 years. She is currently a Program Manager at the Department for International Development (DfID), Nigeria. She is passionate about young people which led to supporting the founding of Eagles Club, a community-based mentorship program developing young people in to full stature. She currently acts as the patron of the club.
