  • From Chaos to Zeus (Origins of the Greek Gods)
Very few stories have captured the public imagination so largely for so long, however greek mythology has proven impermeable to the erosion of time, and over and over people find themselves captivated by the magic and menace.
today in the z files I cover the origin of the greek gods, from chaos to the olympians.

  • Diana, The Queen Who Could Have Been - Pt.1
Princess Diana practically reinvented the role of the british royal family. She brought mental health to the forefront public conversation, and strived to make speaking openly about your emotions, praised rather than considered weak. She set the precedent for modern royalty, just ask Harry and Philip.
In todays episode of the Z files I cover Diana, Princess of Wales, her early life, and marriage. In next week's episode i will pick up where I left off in the early '80s.

  • Diana, The Queen Who Could Have Been - Pt.2
1980 could probably be-called “diana's decade”, it was hard to exist and not be bombarded with her, she covered every tabloid, was the subject of intense public scrutiny, but at the same time, it seemed that nothing could make her unlikeable in the eyes of the public.
In todays episode of the Z files I cover Diana, Princess of Wales, the end of her life and marriage.

  • Love in Ancient greece (it sucks)
zeus's defeat of his child-eating/daddy defeated, father Cronus, brought about the age of the olympians, and thus, famous heroes such as Heracles, Perseus, and Jason. But the vast web mythology doesn't end here, and here I am, to dive into it.
in today's episode of the z files i discuss two of my favorite greek myths apollo and hyacinth, and hades and persephone.

  • Homer - Pt. 1
The homeric tales have infiltrated modern culture in ways that you can't quite comprehend, until you can. A reference to the wine dark sea, or the goddess whose shield is made of thunder, might just sound like a common epithet, but in truth, it's so much more complicated than that.
In todays episode of The Z Files I cover the origin of the Iliad and the Odyssey and explore what it actually means when we attribute them to Homer.

  • Homer - Pt.2
Human memory is a powerful tool when trained, and there is not much better training than being forced to memorize 16000 thousand lines of verse in order to preserve upwards of 300 years of history. yea it good training but good way to be stressed all the time, you can see why they wanna write that down.
In todays episode of The Z Files I continue to cover the origin of the Iliad and the Odyssey and explore what it actually means when we attribute them to Homer.

  • Homer - Pt.3
I've heard it said that we should think of Homer more of an “it” than a “he”, but that's just one theory, in the vast, expansive sea of them.
In todays episode of The Z Files I continue to cover the origin of the Iliad and the Odyssey and explore what it actually means when we attribute them to Homer.
