Dan’s early career included a year and a half stint drawing political cartoons for Madcap Magazine and illustrating underground projects such as Maximum Rock and Roll. In 1997, after struggling through a violent car crash and a knife fight with a crackhead that severed the tendon on his left thumb, he attended art school. Receiving some commercial and local gallery acclaim for his artwork, he moved to New York City in an attempt to kick start an art career. Heavily immersing himself in the local hardcore scene, he produced artwork for the bands Shai Hulud, Indecision, Coalesce, Locked in a Vacancy, Beyond Reason, Zombie Apocalypse , not to mention various local record labels and venues.
In 2000, he started tattooing, initially working on many musician friends. A year later, in September 2001, he was stricken with brain cancer and underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Three months after the surgery, he married fellow tattoo artist Monica Castillo.
After a brief trip down south, that included owning a short lived tattoo shop with the infamous Joe Truck , in a venture that ended in disaster, he returned to Manhattan. His work started appearing in both a growing number of tattoo magazines and more fine art influenced outlets such as Aphrodesia, Pint Sized Paintings, and The Tarot Project. Tattoo related books such as No Regrets: The Best, Worst, & Most #$%*ing Ridiculous Tattoos Ever , Tattoo Prodegies 1 , Tattoo Prodegies 2, and Inside the Tattoo Circus: A Journey Through the Modern World of Tattoos also took notice and included features.
Tragedy struck again in 2007, as his wife of 6 years, Monica Henk, was killed in a motorcycle accident by a hit and run driver. Despite extensive coverage in the local media and vigorous campaigns by both the tattoo and motorcycle community, the culprit was never found.
Sick of New York, he moved to Austin, Texas for three years, and started doing a regular comic strip entitled “Rollo & Me” for Tattoo Artist Magazine. Illustrations for Black Static Magazine, and This is Horror followed suit.
His first novel, The Black Seas of Infinity, was published by Anarchy Books in 2011, and he started an illustrated calendar featuring a variety of artists. Deadite Press released the first book with a cover by Dan, a novel entitled “The Sopaths” by Piers Anthony.

Rabbi Michael Harvey served Reform congregations from 2015 until 2020, in both West Lafayette, Indiana and The Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He currently studies at the Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership, within the Doctor of Science in Jewish Studies program and he hopes to earn his PhD in Jewish Studies.
Ordained by the Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) in 2015, Rabbi Harvey earned a Master’s degree in Hebrew Letters from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston University. Throughout his tenure at HUC-JIR, Rabbi Harvey served congregations, small and large, in Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio, Alabama, Mississippi, and Texas.
Rabbi Harvey is a certified Prepare & Enrich marital and pre-marital counselor and has served as a chaplain at both Norton Hospital and Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He is committed to interfaith education and social justice, locally and nationally. His dedication to both these areas can be seen in the work he has done with world-renowned organizations such as the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust, the Center for Holocaust and Humanity Education, the American Jewish World Service, the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey, and the Chautauqua Institution. Additionally, Rabbi Harvey was invited by Dr. Rabbi Gary Zola to become a member of the rabbinic advisory council for the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives, called “The B’nai Ya’akov Council.”
Wherever Rabbi Harvey has served, he has always sought ways to marry his passion for social justice with the needs of his immediate community. In the absence of an interfaith council in his previous posting in St. Thomas, Rabbi Harvey created and directed the Interfaith Council of the Caribbean, which represented over 15 faith communities in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. Additionally, he sat on the boards of the Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, The Family Resource Center, and The United Way.
In West Lafayette, he brought his attention to the needs of the community, and served as the director for the Interfaith Leaders of Greater Lafayette, which was integral in bringing interfaith panel discussions to the community on topics as important as nativism, mental health, and addiction. Rabbi Harvey also sat on the executive board for the Indiana Board of Rabbis which provides educational and pastoral needs to the entire state. Additionally, he sat on the boards of the Lafayette Jewish Community Religious School, the Jewish Federation of Greater Lafayette, Family Promise of Greater Lafayette and the local United Way Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. Rabbi Harvey was also a member of the Downtown Ministers, the Lafayette Transitional Housing Caring Committee, the Tippecanoe County Opioid Task Force, and the Medical Ethics Committee for IU Health Arnett Hospital. Rabbi Harvey regularly works with Legal Aid, Lafayette Urban Ministry, Greater Lafayette Indivisible, Mom’s Demand Action, and the YWCA to better the Greater Lafayette community.
Rabbi Harvey is the author of many articles featured in both local and international sources, such as The Jewish Daily Forward and ReformJudaism.org. He is the recipient of several awards, including the HUC-JIR Robert L. Adler Prize, awarded for contributions to the community, and the “Faith, Family, Friends, Bridging our Community Award” given by US Virgin Islands Delegate to Congress, Stacey Plaskett.
Additionally, Rabbi Harvey created and participated (before COVID-19) in a bi-monthly podcast with a local Episcopal Priest, entitled: “A Priest and a Rabbi Walk into a Bar” which discusses religious issues and interfaith subjects.
With the pandemics effect dressing I wrote 2 extensive online courses. The possibility is that the pandemic will not totally cancel culture. The courses show that each of us has a personal culture that contributes to humanity at large. My book/courses are "The Wardrobe Game" ``Grooming your mind and Body" and The Philosophy of Fit- how to build your own tailoring business without sewing. I have 30 year roots as a cutter and patternmaker to be able to achieve bespoke fit. My interest is to redeem the loss of tailoring standards lost with European tailors in WW2, as well as how society can review the sanctity of the body once appreciation of the craft of tailoring is reached. Much like wine tasting to prevent alcoholism. In fact a good suit is like an old wine, it gets better with age. Appreciation of one's taste and bodily parameters is everyman's business. Tailored garments are like slow food, it should be a good proportion of our consumption for long term benefits as well as short term pleasures.
After 40 years of training as a cutter and designer, I am confident that the course with webinars can be automated to build national factories for less centralized, less globalized and a more sustainable business model. (less slave labour) Designers will be supported with back-ends sites such as Suitstyler.com and Planet-tailored.com (This is the world's first consumer app for standards of fit). Online training will be the first time since the invention of "retail sizes" for a scalable industry. Now with web efficiencies a tailoring designer is all one needs to have a coordinated wardrobe package designed. I believe there is great value and self-employment for people in the 21st C. Having a tailoring designer should move men past the material into the richness of their tailored relationship. This is the opposite of retail sales, “cow call mentality” where only the price fits.
Dr. Douyon is a Board Certified Neurologist who completed his residency in Neurology at New York University and fellowship at New York Presbyterian-Cornell in Clinical Neurophysiology. He’s spent the last several years caring for people with neurological disorders, with a special emphasis on people with a history of epilepsy, seizures, and non-epileptic events.
After spending years witnessing the deleterious affects of neurological disorders, Dr. Douyon realized that there were better ways to serve people and prevent the decline of brain health, while supporting total body health.
The solution is simple: Take charge of your brain!
Whether you’re at risk for neurological diseases, living with a neurological disease, supporting a family member, or looking to change your lifestyle, Dr. Douyon believes that taking charge of your brain, is the first step in relief, change, and healing.
Medications do little to modify the underlying disease process. After years of observing the delicate balancing act between side effects and symptom relief, Dr. Douyon realized that he could do better for the people he served.
The Inle BrainFit Institute offers a therapeutic, supportive environment, aimed at using a multi-modal approach to improve the lives of people with neurological disorders and promote brain health
