The Zelda Cast

Andy makes a triumphant return to the show this week and doesn't waste any time getting down to business, asking where the heck Cadence of Hyrule has been since it's announcement and taking Taylor through a list of dream Zelda spinoffs. Pikmin with Cucco's? Assassin's Creed with Sheikah? YES PLEASE!

As if that wasn't enough, to celebrate the Game Boy's 30th birthday, the lads count down their top ten OG GB games ever. Link's Awakening, Pokemon, Metroid II, and more! Plus, we give a shout out to the one and only Gary Oak.

Make sure you don't miss this episode! It's a ton of fun!

After (un)comfortably deep diving into Tingle’s Rosey Rupeeland last week, Andy decided to briefly escape the country, so Taylor sets out to find Kevin to help him discuss today’s topics. Breath of the Wild has continued its inexorable ride with a VR element using Nintendo Labo while Kevin and Taylor debate whether VR is a good idea. The game also gets an update that improves the load time of Shrines, which of course leads to the Champions’ thinking about speedrunning!

It wouldn’t be Champions’ Cast episode if we didn’t get caught up in the hype of a certain major movie to be released last week and to coincide with this, we’re playing the role of casting directors and work out which Zelda characters could best play Avengers heroes! Ever wonder what Zelda characters might look like in a tabletop RPG session? Kevin & Taylor have put some serious thought into it and we lay out some demands for what we want to see in Nintendo’s ever expanding non-video game Zelda selection.

It’s a jam packed episode this week so don’t miss it!

Happy Easter weekend everyone! We hope you guys ate your weight in chocolate eggs and turkey! We spent a lot of our time over the weekend taking Super Smash Bros' newest playable fighter, Joker, for a spin! Do we like him? Who's he play like? What about his stage? We break it all down AND THEN deliver a deep dive all into the fabled game itself... TINGLE'S ROSY RUPEELAND! Yes, Andy has finally finished it (with 100% completion to boot!) and shares some thoughts about this strange game while recounting the weirdest thing he saw!

This is a great episode full of fun and some surprisingly in-depth Tingle talk, so make sure you check it out!

Video game movies are usually pretty terrible. So terrible in fact, I have another podcast totally dedicated to them. But they don't have to be - not when you've got the guys from Virtual Theater on the case! Yessir, Gooey Fame is back on the Cast to lend his expertise to the show discussing how to make a Zelda movie that doesn't suck!

What kind of tone should this movie go for? Should the costumes be changed?  Does Link talk? Anime, animation, or live action? All of this and more in this jam packed episode! And if you like the two of us talking about video game movies, make sure you check out our podcast Virtual Theater on Soundcloud!

Helloooo and welcome to another fun episode of the Cast! This week, we play a fun game of "Would You Rather?" centered all around Zelda! Would you rather have more frequent releases that are good, or would you rather have to wait for a great one? Would you rather have Naughty Dog or Insomniac develop a Zelda game? Would you rather each new Link start from scratch and experience the hero's journey, or harness all of the memories and experience of previous Link's? Would you rather play as Zelda or Ganondorf?

All this and way more, with even a bonus Metroid WYR question sprinkled in! Plus , we talk about Breath of the Wild's upcoming VR experience! This episode is a load of fun!
