After 8 years & counting of seeing pregnancy sticks read (-) NEGATIVE, in addition to others around them have children...it takes a toll on you emotionally. Being a kid magnet with automatic connectivity of fun & joy, they seemed to be 2nd parents to everyone else's kids and it's frustrating to not have a child of your own. Feelings of brokenness, shame and abandonment from God creep in because pregnancy is supposed to be a "natural" thing as your body is "supposed" to do what it's designed to do.
