Forgiveness sounds great—until we’re the ones who have to give it. In His teaching on prayer, Jesus makes a direct connection between God’s forgiveness and our willingness to forgive others, because forgiven people forgive. This week we’ll talk about how letting go of resentment isn’t just for their benefit—it’s the key to our own freedom.
We love the idea of being independent but real life is found when we depend on God. "Give us today our daily bread" isn't just about food - it's about learning to trust God as our ultimate provider. This week we’ll talk about what it looks like to live with daily dependence on God and why that’s actually the best place to be.
Do you ever feel like your prayers are just bouncing off of the ceiling? Or maybe you feel like you are talking to a God that is distant and uninvolved. Knowing and following Jesus is a straight path. There are twists, turns and seemingly deadends. What do you do when you face situations you didn't ask for, didn't see coming and don't know what to do next? What you do when the only thing you know to ask God is, "Are you kidding?" Let's learn from others who have been in the same situation
Holding on to mistakes, resentment, and regrets will cause us to keep telling ourself the same old story. And though we might be reminded of what we’ve done, it’s not the truth about who we are. If we allow Him to, God will continue writing a powerful new story that continues to change us now and forever.
There is a massive difference between living like you have to DO something, and living out of what has been DONE for you. One will lead to frustration and more bondage, while the latter will let you rest in freedom and new life.
It’s one thing to say, “God Loves Me.” It’s an entirely different thing to believe it and embrace it. In this message, we’ll learn how receiving God’s love erases any shame and guilt that would send us back into our old ways of living.
