Continuing in this new series titled My Little Children, Pastor Dustin Clegg walks us through 1 John 1:5 - 2:2 and we explore the Light that exposes sin. We see in 1 John 1:5 that God is Light and in 1 John 1:6-10 that owning our own sign before God, ourselves, and others is crucial to healthy life in Jesus.

Pastor Dustin Clegg "introduces" us to 1st John and outlines 4 purposes of 1st John:

1) That our joy may be complete (1 John 1:4);

2) So that we sin less, and learn to repent when we do (1 John 2:1);

3) To refute false doctrine (1 John 2:26); and

4) So that we may have assurance of faith (1 John 5:13).

Dustin also shares 2 observations from the text:

1) Redemption, not perfection, was the plan from the beginning.

2) John saw complete joy as a necessary fruit of those following Jesus.

Pastor Dustin Clegg finishes up the One Another Summer series today, and as we look at Colossians 3:1-17, we talk about Biblical One Anothering and Dustin voices 5 applications from the text:

1) Focus our minds entirely on Jesus. (Col 3:1-4)

2) Remember who we WERE. (Col 3:5-8)

3) Remember who we ARE. (Col 3:9-13)

4) Submit our hearts to His rule constantly. (Col 3:14-15)

5) Voice His word. Live His Way. (Col 3:16-17)

Pastor Dustin Clegg continues with the One Another Summer series as we look at Romans 12:9-21. As you listen, keep this application in mind: Keep climbing back on the altar and offering yourself as a Living Sacrifice.

TBC Elder Derek Wood picks up with the One Another Summer series as we look at 1 Peter 5 and talk about clothing ourselves in humility towards one another. Derek talks about how this is counter culture leadership and counter culture witness, adding that we need to realize that humility is at the root of our obedience, and pride is at the root of our sin.

One Another Summer brings us to Hebrews 10:24-25 and Consider One Another. As you listen, ask yourself this question: How do we obey this passage?.

Pastor Dustin Clegg continues with the One Another Summer series as we look at Romans 14:1 - 15:7 and talk about accepting and not judging one another.

Continuing with our One Another Summer series, Pastor Kirk Owens speaks to us from James 4:10-12 about criticizing one another and forgiving one another.

When we criticize we:

(1) Discourage and often destroy others;

(2) dishonor Jesus and hinder our relationship with Him.

Biblical remedies:

(1) Humble yourselves. James 4:6-10

(2) Seek to lead a quiet life. 1 These 4:11-12

(3) Be a fountain that builds up and not a drain that tears down. Eph 4:29-32

Forgive one another.....just as God forgave you in Christ.
