Conor sat down with Dr Una Kennedy and Dr Pádraic Dunne to discuss the NEMTP EMWellbeing Project - which is now live for sign ups from all CSTEM / ASTEMs (with plans to make it available to all trainees in future). There will be a webinar next Wednesday the 5th of Feb, and we got a sneak preview of what the programme entails, and why there's something for each and every trainee within it.

Welcome to November's main episode of TheCase.Report! In this episode we dive into all things Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Welcome back to TheCase.Report, it's our first episode of season 5!

It's hard to believe that we're moving into the 5th year of TCR! All the way back in our first ever episode we had an infective case that was very topical at the time - covid - And so to kick things off for Season 5, we're looking at another highly infective case of viral haemorrhagic fever.

Joining us on our case this month are our NCHDs Conor O’Gara, Leah Flanagan and Ralph Hurley O’Dwyer, who treat us to a comprehensive run through of the case.

We were delighted to be joined by Dr Deirdre Morley and Dr Catherine Uhomoibhi for the second segment in the episode. They are working as co-leads on the development of the National High Level Isolation Unit (HLIU), and discuss the process of designing the HLIU as well as some Irish-led international simulation they've been leading in the Infective Diseases sphere.

Season 5 is just around the corner! We'll be kicking off the new season October 7th. Mark your calendars!

In the meantime, Mohammed is off to Pakistan this week to PakTraumaCon 2024. Being the insufferable nerd that he is, he's not satisfied annoying his colleagues and new acquaintances only at the conference, but has also been after them for chats before even getting on the plane... Someone needs to stop him!

Joining him on this bonus is Prof Junaid Abdul Razzak, also a speaker at PakTraumaCon this year. Prof Abdul Razzak is Vice Chair of Research at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, and is also the Director of the Centre of Excellence for Trauma and Emergencies at the Aga Khan University in Karachi.
