Pastor Gabe continued our Practicing the Way series discussing two more practices: Scripture and Fasting. We continued with how we can trust scripture because Jesus trusts scripture, but that He also came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets prophecies. We walk the narrow path is fixing our eyes on Jesus. In fasting we discussed how we unplug from the world and connect to Jesus, tuning into the frequency of his voice. These are important because Jesus is the beauty of God and it is this beauty that will save the world.

Do you feel as though God is distant? Maybe we have allowed the noises of this world to drown out what God is really trying to tell us. In week 6 of Practicing the Way pastor Kevin shows us the importance of silence and solitude.

We live with a nagging sense that we never have enough. not enough time in the day, money in the bank, or clothes in our closet. In week 5 of Practicing the Way pastor Kevin challenges us to prioritize the vital few over the trivial many.

This week we explored the Practice of Prayer. Pastor Gabe discussed 4+1 prayer practices that we can implement in our faith journey. The practice being praying the Lord's Prayer (daily), Praying for the lost, Praying for the Church (the Bride of Christ and our brothers/sisters), and lastly ourselves. The "+1" prayer practice is learning to Sit with God, allowing God to speak to us after we have spoken to him.

As we practice the way of Jesus, we need partners for the journey, a community to help us along the way. In week 3 of practicing the way Pastor Kevin reminds us of the importance of community and that we were not created to do life alone.

The word Sabbath or Shabbat in Hebrew, most literally means to STOP, but it also means to rest, to delight, and even to worship. In week 2 of Practicing the Way pastor Kevin introduces the practice of Sabbath. Sabbath is a weekly act of identity formation, we remember: I am God's loved one.

Sometimes it feels like nothing is working. We can do all the right things, but life seems to stay the same. In week 1 of Practicing the Way pastor Kevin shows us that the goal is to live and love and Jesus did.

One of the most important spiritual qualities with the potential to impact the trajectory of your life is consistency. In week 2 of Take back your life, pastor Kevin reminds us of the important truth that we are not successful when we achieve our goals in the future, but when we are faithful to God today

The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your decisions. In week 1 of Take Back Your Life pastor Kevin reminds us of the importance to seek first the One who matters most.

God doesn't love you because you're worthy, it is His Love that makes you worthy. In the 4th and final week of the Gift of Hope Pastor Kevin reminds us that we are SO LOVED.
