Dr Erika Legara was awarded   Outstanding Young Scientist  by the Philippines National Academy of Science and Technology. She's used data science analyses to look at COVID 19spread, pollution in cities and transport networks and is working on city planning with the Mayor of Manila.  Her insights will be in a book on the use of data science in Nation building, based on her research and work with governments and organisations in the Philippines and Singapore.
