Borrowed bars, sampled beats, nostalgic music lays the ground for today's heat.

This mix series is a history lesson in music, from soul to funk to hip hop.

You will get an insight behind the doors and into the world of the “sample”. Allow this mix to take you on a dope journey through some of best tracks that eras like the 70’s 80’s and 90’s had to offer in urban music. Each stop ends with a current new age urban anthem, showing you how these worlds collide. You may finally get an understanding of how history truly does repeat itself, even in hip hop
