Photoshop World Talks, Part 1

On this episode of TheFIX host Seán Duggan takes the show on the road to Photoshop World in Las Vegas for some short audio interviews with some of the instructors and industry insiders at the conference. In part 1, Seán talks with Bryan O'Neil Hughes from Adobe Systems about how Adobe's mobile imaging apps fit into the greater Creative Cloud ecosystem, and the range of creative possibilities that mobile imaging provides. We finish the show with a chat with Levi Sim from Photofocus.com. Levi shares some cool gear recommendations as well as a great tip on how depth of field in your shot can impact creating precise cutout masks for background replacement. Midway through our talk, references to Han Solo and Star Wars summon the spirit of a wookie. Bryan O'Neil Hughes has been with Adobe Systems since 1999, helping to test, drive, demonstrate, and lead development of Adobe’s professional digital imaging applications. He was part of the Photoshop team for 15 years, including 10 years as the product manager for Photoshop. He is currently the Head of Outreach & Collaboration for the Creative Cloud Ecosystem. Before joining Adobe, he was a professional photographer and retoucher. Beyond Adobe, Hughes is a published photographer, editor, and author and he has several online courses on Lynda.com.

 

Levi Sim is a photographer, author, teacher and speaker based in Portland, Oregon. He is a regular podcast host and contributor to Photofocus.com, where he hosts monthly live Hangouts on Lightroom and the Perfectly Clear plug-in for Lightroom and Photoshop.
