When Pregnancy Provides Purpose is the fourth episode of my 'Their Story' Podcast. It's a solo recording this time around and I talk about an experience I had with a client I supported several years ago. I do not use her real name or any specific details for her anonymity. It's a bit of a heartbreaking story so please listen when you're in a good headspace.

When you're seeing a lot of undesired behaviours in a person, recognize even the littlest positive behaviours they exhibit, this will motivate them and increase their self-esteem

Understand that humans crave connection and responsibility, when they don't get those they may seek them in ways that are unhealthy or simply not a good fit for them.

Sometimes we have to go through very hard things but we can learn from those experiences and help others by sharing and growing from what we learned.

If you can hire a person with a disability, please do. We all deserve to work for pay and there are numerous organizations that can help with gaining employment and training of people with a disability.
