SPEEDCOMP 22 + EVYLZ + TRACKER SPECIAL PART 17

Speedcomp is a pointless online competition to make a song in half an hour, limiting yourself to ten previously unheard samples (and no other sounds). The samples are selected by a different person each round, with Evylz doing so this round. A link to the sample pack was posted on the Facebook event page at 7:30pm (AEST) on Friday 9th September and all entries were played on the show on the following evening.

“Use whatever software or hardware you like. Don’t use VSTIs etc. The aim of Speedcomp is to do something interesting using the 10 samples provided in a limited time. Not transform the sounds into something totally unrecognisable. Maximum track length 5 minutes. There are no winners.”

Most tunes are also linked to their Soundcloud or download file from the Tumblr Thematics page - http://thematicsradio.tumblr.com

After the Speedcomp entries, Evylz played some of his tracks and some Rotello mods were jammed in at the end. These can be downloaded from the Tumblr playlist also to open in your favourite tracker.
