This is it folks! The season 1 finale of Themebeciles! In true themebecile fashion the boys go out with a wimper as they discuss the theme song to My Mother the Car. Written by Paul Hampton and covered by Sammy Davis Jr. this theme song is certainly better than this 1965 sitcom deserved.

The Themebeciles take a ride through the Whedonverse with this week's theme song, "The Ballad of Serenity." With it's themes of freedom and antiauthority, "The Ballad of Serenity" was written by Joss "Don't Call Me Joe" Whedon and performed by the "Disciple of Blues" Sonny Rhodes for the much beloved science-fiction western series, Firefly.

Better late then never, the Themebeciles c'mon down to South Park to leave their woes behind. Written and performed by Primus a funk-thrash-psychedelic-polka band out of San Francisco, the South Park Theme is a discordant joy.

We said we were coming for her and the Themebeciles are men of their word... We're here this week for Ann Hampton Calloway! Ann is the creator of "The Nanny Named Fran"; theme song to beloved sitcom The Nanny starring Fran Drescher. With a pitch perfect jazz/Broadway/cabaret sound and delightfully animated title sequence this is possibly the best TV intro of the 90's. Enjoy!

Thank God It's Thursday! This episode Anthony is serving up the theme to Perfect Strangers, “Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now”, an uplifting anthem about wings, dreams, and flames in hearts. Think the Themebeciles aren't going to have a good time with this? Don't be ridiculous.

Up your nose with a rubber hose! Here comes a laid back tune hand picked by Anthony's dad: "Welcome Back" the theme song to Welcome Back, Kotter. Composed and performed by the founder of the 60's group Loving Spoonful, "Welcome Back" is a mellow song about finding your true calling in a life you thought you’d left behind.

This week the Themebeciles tackle the somber ballad of Jason McCord, aka BRANDED! This "explains the plot" theme song from the 1960's western of the same name is a favorite of the Dude in the Big Lebowski and is accompanied by a memorable title sequence once spoofed on Married... with Children.
