"That's the hebrew word for head. Rosh Hashanah, head of the year. Okay. It is a time of self reflection, prayer, and repentance. People that celebrate Rosh Hashanah review their actions during the past year and look for ways to improve themselves, their communities, and their world in the year to come. Rosh Hashanah is widely observed by Jews throughout the world, often with prayer and reflection in a synagogue. There are also several holiday rituals observed at home and in the synagogue."
